Amala and I became friends after she found out about what happened to me and Vivian Rae. I walked out to the sea and I saw all 5 of my brothers, they reached out to me, but I didn't reciprocate the feeling. One of them swam to me and gave me the knife, "Father and mother were looking for you, we thought you were dead. Come home please, kill the prince and his cousin, the blood will bathe your feet and you'll be a full merman again." My brothers said and I threw the knife into the bottom of the ocean.

I looked at them and walked away, I didn't even try to wave goodbye.

They were with my parents imprisoning our sister and I'm the only one who cared about her happiness.

"Erin! You're zoning out, are you okay?" Amala said and I nodded, I was just thinking of Vivian and her happiness, to hell with that so called family of mine. "Ian and Vivian are sleeping in today, I think he must've had her all night again like the first time." Amala said and I blushed just thinking of hit when Ian told us that he and Vivian had sex.

'Amala, what is sex?' I wrote and she spit her water out, "Erin! You can't casually write that! But I know you're curious about that. Think of it like mermaids mating with each other, it's the same way with humans, but your lower body part goes inside a woman's womb. And when you're drawn to another human, you'll have that urge to want them." Amala said and I wrote to her, 'Will I ever be like that? Have sex or mate with another being?' And Amala giggled, "Erin, it'll happen when you're really drawn to a person that you love the most." She said.

I wonder if I'm drawn to you, Amala. But I know that it'll never be meant to be.

My thoughts began race and I question if I ever had any other feelings for a human or anyone. Amala was the first human that I've seen and she's now my best friend, but I know that she'll love someone else and my sisters happiness always came first.

Amala looked at my distraught face, "Erin, somethings definitely the matter, could you tell me?" She said and I wrote to her of how I'm feeling. 'Amala, I may have developed feelings for you, but I know that it'll never be meant to be. Your heart may have another person in there.'

Amala looked at my writing and laughed, "Are you kidding? Erin, I felt the same way about you! When I first saw you, injured and taken care of by your sister, I knew that you were that special person for me." She said and I blushed.

Amala kissed my cheek and walked away, "We gotta plan for Ian and your sisters wedding so we can get married after them." Amala said and I smiled at her.

You're my special person too, Amala.
