Sophia kisses my lips and wraps her arms around my waist, pulling me closer.

'You look good in that suit', she whispers. I chuckle.

'Well, I have to try and blend in with the men.' '

Matt would've let you wear a dress. He even might wanted to wear one', Sophia laughs. I laugh too. Sophia does my hair. She braids two strands of hair on each side and pins them together in a bun. 'There you go', she says and kisses the top of my head.

We put on our coats and make our way to the wedding. Remember "But nothing big, a small wedding"? It is not small – but technically not big either. My family greets us as we arrive. Matt hooks his arm in mine.

'I am a little nervous', my brother whispers.

'Why? You have been together for so long.' Matt sighs.

'That's not what I am nervous about.' He nods to a woman standing alone in a corner, I recognise our mother.

'She came?' I ask surprised.

Colin hurries us inside. The guests take their seats and I follow my brother to stand beside him. Colin walks down the aisle and takes place on the other side of the pastor. The typical wedding song starts to play and I smile, it's typical James. He walks down the aisle, his father giving him away. My eyes scan the crowd and I find Sophia sitting next to Marc.

The first thing she noticed about me were my mismatched socks and my lack of fashion that make me who I am. At first, she thought I couldn't find the other sock that matched the first, or that I was in a hurry that morning and didn't have any time to find the right socks. Oh no, that was not it.

I mismatched my socks on purpose. Every day since she noticed me, she only saw the different socks. Maybe I think it brings good luck or that I have some sentimental reason for it? She wanted to ask me seven years ago, but she was too shy. Maybe it would be weird for her to notice some stranger's socks?

But she isn't a stranger anymore. And she knows the reason I wear mismatched socks.
