Hi guys, I'm sorry for not posting again. My motivation went bye-bye again, and my time to write died. Enjoy the chapter!

The dimly lit hallways flickered as the fluorescent light shattered upon contact with the floor. Something or someone lurked through the shadows; as for the two, they were utterly clueless about whatever harm may unleash upon them. "Shh." the voice whispered from the shadows.

"H-Huh? Who's there?" Six rubbed her eyes as she sat up lackadaisically.

The absence of sound was the only thing anyone within the room could hear. "H-Huh?" She perceived from the voice she heard. She shook his body as she muttered, "H-Hey, Mono." The voice urged, "Don't." Startled, she crawled backward as she hid behind Mono. "H-Hey, Wake up!" She exclaimed. "H-Huh? What is it?!" He replied worriedly. "T-There was someone in the room just over there," she said with reluctance before she paused.

"What are you talking about? There's no one." He said. "You might just be seeing stuff, Six." He listlessly sat up as he hugged his knees. "Where do you want to go now?" He asked as he stood up and stretched. "I guess we can explore the school around a bit." She said, still overwhelmed from what she had seen a while ago.

"You don't think he was... Thin Man?" Shix said as her forehead sweated. She then separated from Six's body. "H-Hey? What are you doing?" Six asked as she positioned herself in front of Shix. "He'll see you." Shix shook her head, "He won't be able to see me since he hasn't absorbed or have any abilities from the Signal Tower."

"Huh? What are you doing?" Mono questioned, baffled. "H-Huh? N-Nothing," she said as she hastily moved to her previous position. "Hmm... Okay, anyway. Should we explore now?" Mono urged. "S-Sure!"

The two roamed around the school. Six tried to open a door that faced the room they slept in earlier, but unfortunately, it was locked. "Ugh, there's literally nothing in this school." She exclaimed. "Uh, Six? I think I found something here," Mono said as he explored the place thoroughly.

"Huh? What is it?" she said, intrigued. As Mono roamed around, he noticed a segment of the small hallway had what seemed like a lever with wires surrounding it, leading to who knows.

"W-Woah, what the —" Six said, her eyes widening at the scene. "Should we pull it?" she suggested. "I guess. Can you help boost me up?" Six crouched under the lever and cupped her hands. Mono used them to pull down the lever; upon doing it, the dimly lit hallway transitioned to utter darkness. "M-Mono? Where are you?" she yelled, distinct enough for him to hear. "Y-Yeah, I'm here." The lights from the hallways flickered as they turned off completely.

Six tried to find Mono, but she was greeted by an odd painting. She stumbled back, her eyes filled with fear as she was greeted by yet another painting of the teacher. Light shafted from the eyes of the painting to the wooden floor of the hallway as it focused mainly on one point. "Shh," Mono reassured. "It's fine. It's just a painting," he said as he helped Six up.

With the lever pulled back a second time, the dark hallways illuminated. Mono felt like a lit light bulb popped in his head. "Six, hold on. I got an idea." Mono ran back to the room they slept in as he reappeared, this time with a toy ball. "Huh? What are you doing?" she confusingly asked from what he held in his hand. "Just watch," he urged Six as he pulled the lever down.

Mono stood in the middle of where the rays of the light came from the painting was directed to. He took a deep breath, crouching down, and retracted his arms with the ball in his hands. Mono grunted as he used all his strength to throw the ball at the painting. The ball perfectly pierced through the painting as a hole emerged from it.
