Hi guys :3 Sorry for not updating for a while. My motivation kind of just skedaddled and died inside of me. Nevertheless, I'll probably get more consistent after a while until school starts. Hope you enjoy this what you call a "chapter."

I put the old paper bag onto my head as I ran to the top of the Signal Tower. "Warp and tear the fabric of space and enter it. Then, you'll be instantly transported to a void, where fixed timelines will be. Some will remain active and running from the loop; others completely abandoned." I recalled from the book. Upon reaching the apex of it, I felt the strong wind breeze onto my face, strong enough to wind-borne my paper bag right from my head if it wasn't for me grabbing onto it.

I held my hand out as I attempted to tear through space as if I were pulling two planets apart. I grunted and used all my remaining strength to pierce through this stupid fabric. It wasn't long before I messed up badly; I accidentally created a black hole alongside a portal beside the tower, sucking everything in Pale City. I panicked as I jumped into the portal. My vision faded out.

There I was, drifting through space. I couldn't breathe, yet I was still alive. I couldn't move an inch; my body refused to move, pretty much as if I were a statue. After some time, I was transported to a hallway with seven doors. Each one had a name and a color; one of them was labeled six with an orange color, and beside it was seven with a green color. Curious, I walked towards it and entered as my vision blacked out. There it was once again, Pale City.

But it wasn't the Pale City I knew, I sensed something.

The raft-like vessel the two were on swayed back and forth, as the abundant amount of fog; denser than mist, obfuscating anyone's vision who dared to set sail onto the waters. "Do you think we could escape this nightmare one day?" Six asked as the duo were greeted by the soft, and chill wind. "Maybe," Mono replied as he submerged his hand under the water, "So uhm, do you have a name I can call you?" Six's eyes widened at this question, "You can call me Six I guess, you?"

"Woah! That's pretty cool," he said as his eyes seemed like it was shining in awe. "I'm just called Mono with this stupid paper bag on my head."

"Now that I think of it, why did he have one in the first place?" She thought to herself before asking, "Why do you wear one in the first place?" Mono put a hand over his paper bag; fixing it. "It's stupid, but I guess it helps me forget that the world hates me and wants me to fail." He said as if he was ashamed. Six nodded, "Hey, it's fine. That's normal, especially in this world we were in," she said as she comforted him. Time barely passed; to them, it felt like they were stuck in a fixed position of time.

"Are we there yet?" Six asked. "Maybe," Mono replied before pausing, "Hey... I think we're here." Their nightmares could only get worse from here on. What awaited them really could end their nightmares as they may be greeted by death. There appeared twisted bent buildings, and trash could be seen around in every direction. The raft made contact with the shore, as Mono led first. Six followed behind Mono shortly before saying, "I-It's humongous," as if it was her first time witnessing it.

"Hey, let's go." Grabbing Six's hand as they went through the door that lay in front of them. Inside, darkness barely yielded to faint shafts of light seeping through cracks. A TV hung eerily from the ceiling, displaying static with suit-like clothing right through the screen. Merely utter silence could be heard; the two walked together to reach the end of the room as their shared footsteps echoed back to their ears. Upon reaching the end, they noticed a hole in the wall. The two slipped into it.

They were greeted by the breeze of chill wind; abandoned buildings, and wrecked cars; scattered around the streets. In front of them laid on what looked like an abandoned barber shop, with a broken window. Mono grabbed Six's hand as they cautiously made their way to the broken window. "H-Here," Six said as she crouched down and cupped her hands together. Mono grabbed Six's shoulders as he jumped up to the window, clinging onto it for a brief moment before climbing up.
