Epilogue

"Andie!" Andromeda heard James yell, frantically. Andromeda gasped in horror. "James, what's the matter?" she asked, anxiously. James looked at her like he was looking death in the eye. "You-Know-Who is coming." "What?" asked Andromeda, horrified. "But it couldn't be! Our secret is kept, James. He wouldn't know where we are."

"I know," said James. "Peter betrayed us, that NASTY, COWARDLY RAT!" Andromeda screamed in alarm. "James! But Harry!" "We have no choice, Andie!" James cried. "We will all die." "No!" Andromeda's heart shattered into a million pieces. She thought they were safe... now they weren't! "We can only hope, Andie," said James, silently. "Let's pray."

They huddled closely together, holding each other, along with Harry. "Harry, we'd all be safe," said Andromeda, quietly. "We'd be safe..." Tears were dropping from both their eyes. They knew that it was almost certain that none of them would make it. But they tried... Andromeda's heart was sinking like a stone. They weren't going to survive a day longer...

"You are so loved, Harry," said Andromeda, softly. "You are so loved..." She hugged him, tightly. "We have to believe that this ain't the last of us."

"I hear him coming," said James, suddenly. "Andromeda, take him upstairs. I'll stay here and hold him off." Andromeda nodded. She grabbed Harry and ran like she had never run before. It was going to be over soon. She held him tightly, making the most of their last, precious moments together.

"I love you, James...." Andromeda said. "I love you, too, Andie," James replied. That was the last thing she heard. CRASH!!! She heard the front door blow open. Loud, gigantic footsteps were echoing in. Harry was crying in fear. "I love you, Harry..." Andromeda hugged him. "A-vada Kedavraaaaaaaa!" a high, cold shriek shook the entire house. "No!" Andromeda yelled. "James!" Her heart shattered like it was made of glass. She had lost her second husband. And she was about to lose herself.

"Andromeda, go, save yourself and I'll take the boy!" the Dark Lord shrieked, as he broke into the bedroom, his wand raised, blood-red eyes glaring straight at Andromeda. Andromeda stood in front of Harry protectively. Her heart was pounding hard but she wasn't giving in. "No!" she cried. "NEVER!" "I said go, Andromeda, just let me have the boy and I won't harm you!" Andromeda put her hands out, blocking Harry from the Dark Lord's reach. They would all live in fear and terror anyway. She had to at least try.

"Avada Kedavraaaaaaa!" he shrieked, and those words were the last she heard. She collapsed to the ground, motionless. As young as Harry was, he understood. He stood in his cot, tears dripping from his eyes. "AVADA KEDAVRAAAA!" the Dark Lord shrieked again, louder than ever and shaking the whole house.

But Harry was still living. A lightning-shaped scar appeared across his forehead, still screaming and crying. But he didn't die. Instead, the Dark Lord was hit by his own rebounding curse, and that was the last that everyone saw of him. Well, at least for the next 10 years.

Writer's Note: Well, that's the end! I really hoped all of you liked it, because I put a lot of effort into this! The last few chapters were written in a bit of a hurry, so sorry about that, but I had rewritten the first 2 chapters at least 3 times, and in my opinion, those were my best. What do you think? The last few probably lacked of quality. I'm planning to work on another fanfiction idea after this. If you have any ideas, please comment them. I've seen so many fanfiction ideas across all platforms and I'm really looking forward to writing my next one!

I might do a sequel for this one for either Harry or Nymphadora but maybe not now... I think I'll work on another idea first. Hope you liked it! If there were any mistakes you spotted, or things that didn't make sense, please let me know too, would love to get some feeback. Byee!
