Vanathi tried her best to move on with her life. But whenever she is near her ullam kavar kalvan(her prince who stole her heart) she stutters. Initially she felt that he had not noticed her at all like she was invisible. But now she thinks that she always feels him watching her but that might be her illusion. She might be going insane for thinking like this. Ponniyin selvar suddenly looking for her, the one who outright rejected the marriage ... the one who did not even think of having at least a talk with her suddenly looking at her with care? affection? No, no she is just deluding herself into thinking those insane things. 

But it was always her eyes hopelessly pining after him..now she feels that he is always looking at her.  Just when she tries to move on why does he behaves like this? No, no Vanathi it is just your delusion. Why would he be looking for you? Even now you are just hoping that he would reciprocate your love that's why you are feeling like this. It is ok. You will overcome it. Vanathi consoled herself.  She tried to avoid being in the space as him and she succeeded too. She did not want to hurt her akka so she tried to not make it obvious that she avoided him. It seems that he is occupied in other tasks too so it was not that difficult in avoiding him.

Now she is in the garden plucking flowers as her akka asked her to get flowers for puja. Today is celebrated as Gokulashtami the birth of Lord Krishna. So her akka wanted to go to the temple so she from her end wanted to help her by making a garland to be given to the lord. But she did not know that someone is currently watching her actions and deciding the next course of action.

"Kodumbalur Ilavarasi Vanakkam." She heard a voice that makes her heart flutter but with different emotion now. She desperately wanted to avoid him but running now would be disrespecting him so she brought every happy emotion, memories in her heart and hoped that her heartbreak would not be visible in her face. "Vanakkam Ponniyin Selvare!" she replied. "Thangal nalama?(Are you fine?). Akka told me that you were feeling down these days because of weakness."

To escape from meeting him she said countless lies amongst those were not feeling one. But she was surprised that he remembered it. "Naan nalamaga ullen(I am fine). How are you doing?"

He replied, "I am fine Ilavarasi. I have to ask you something please don't reject my request."

"Who am I to reject the crown prince of chola desam Ilavarase? Please don't humiliate me by requesting me instead order me to do your errands. What is it that you want to ask Ilavarase?"

"I wanted to talk about our engagement. I.."

"Pardon me for stopping you from talking Ilavarase. You might have known that the engagement is cancelled because our kundalis don't match we are not compatible to each other."

"Yes I did hear about it but do you really believe in those devi?"

HUH devi? Does he even know my name? Does it matter anymore? And why is he really talking about these things now? I thought that he wanted to break off the engagement so I did this. What is he planning to do now? HUH I really can't understand him ..It seems that we really are not for reach other. She composed herself and started to answer him, "Yes my lord. I do believe in those things. Akka believes in astrology too and after staying with her I really learned lot of things. There is some connection between the celestial bodies and our life and I think that it really has a lot of influence too. What are your thoughts on this Ilavarase? Do you trust these too?"

Of course you would believe those without this disguise the engagement would not be broken. I still don't understand why is he talking about these now. You did not want to have a talk with me before. You did not even glance at me before and now suddenly you are acting like this. You don't do anything without reason. So what would be the reason? Did akka force him to act like this? If so then I need to work on my acting skills more. Did her akka seriously think that they have any more hope left? It was lost the moment he did not even give her the chance for their relationship. She would have understood if he had atleast talked with her but he robbed her of that chance. Maybe she would get to know the reason today. It may make her or break her but it is needed for her to go forward.
