He was too stunned to speak at her antics. She was holding a teddy bear that was too big to fit in her hands and had tripped twice on her way to the car.
She continued to hug the teddy while sitting in the passenger seat.
"You know you can put it in the back seat. No one's going to steal it from you," Dheer said, glancing at her face, which was almost entirely hidden behind the teddy.
"Why didn't that come to my mind? My brain is already busy with so much stuff. This overthinking doesn't even let me think when I need to," she mumbled to herself, putting the teddy in the back seat.
They didn't talk after that, and they reached the Rathore mansion in silence.
Dheer made his way to the study room while Ruhanika decided to make kheer one more time. As expected, it turned out well. Everyone praised her, and she bloomed with happiness. But there was one guy who just ate silently and then got up to leave for his study room again.
"Bechara, if he says two words, his limited word quota from God will be used up. No worries, Ruhi. You have a big heart you have to understand everyone's limitations," Ruhanika mumbled to herself while heading to her room.
It was 10 pm, and Ruhanika was all tensed up. Overthinkers can relate.
"Ruhi, how could you do that? You just let him sleep on the same bed as you. What must he be thinking? He must think I'm desperate. Oh no, wait, Ruhi, that's not your fault. You were tired yesterday, right? And he made noodles for you. The noodles were so delicious. I want to eat another plate. Ahhhh, stop it.
"Today, I will tell him the rules. Yes, there should be some rules and regulations. It's not like we've been lovers for ages and got married happily. We are still strangers. I don't know anything about him except that he is married to his work, and now I am his second wife. And even he doesn't know anything about me."
Ruhanika was on the bed, or rather, on her huge bunny teddy, talking and making plans. Soon, she drifted to sleep.
Half an hour later, Dheer entered the room, shocked by the huge teddy on his bed and the girl sleeping like a dead body, with hair all over her face, one leg at the bed's corner, the other hanging down, and hands gripping the teddy.
He just shook his head and moved toward the closet to change. When he came back, he saw Ruhanika rubbing her eyes while sitting cross-legged on the bed.
Sensing his gaze, Ruhanika looked up, only to meet the eyes of her handsome hulk. Why is he giving off Kenji Kishimoto vibes? Not him, but his body—those freaking abs, man.
Dheer settled on the bed, not glancing at his drooling wife. Ruhanika, half-asleep, whispered, "I want talk something to about."
Dheer scrunched his brow and glanced at her. She corrected herself, "I mean, I want to talk about something."
Dheer nodded, signaling her to continue. "See, I'll tell you straight. I know, you know, we know that this marriage was forced upon us. We weren't ready to get married, but for our families, we did. The thing is, we are still strangers. So, I think we should make some rules and regulations so we can live peacefully, right?"
Dheer nodded again. Ruhanika continued, "We're going to share this room and the bed because neither of us will be comfortable sleeping on the couch. For the room, I just want a wall for some posters and half of your closet. Oh, and a little space by the pool."
