Trigger warning: mentions of war, monster violence, PTSD, guts & blood, psychological torture

One year later after the Honkai Eruption, Minerva or the Herrscher of the Void was taken in by the X-men for protection and psychological sessions to fix her damaged mind by the Honkai energy and her own blinded hate.

Though the X-men assumed she was right, the world is ugly, but no matter how harsh it is, it's still their home. She brought the Honkai upon humanity, and has broken them to the point they couldn't trust each other anymore.

Minerva had her psychological sessions with Professor Xavier and Emma Frost, to recover her mind from the damage she caused to the world. Throughout sessions, it was determined she has bipolar disorder and guilt complex over her actions of turning herself into a tyrant villain and almost destroying the planet, thinking what she was doing was for the greater good of all mutants, instead she drove both species to extinction. It was also revealed Minerva had been targeting the vampires, seeing them as a threat to mutants, and used them as her own slaves to annihilate the humans, much to the shock of Blade, who believes all vampires are nothing but abominations wanted nothing but blood and chaos, though half of their population has been close to endangerment.

If that wasn't enough, she has destroyed two universes, Earth-7085 (werewolf Reality ) and Earth-2149(Zombie Reality) through her counterparts, which made the X-men worry that Time would see her as a threat to the Multiverse. Surprisingly, Time decided to allow Minerva to redeem herself. As for those universes, the infected counterparts of the heroes were deemed too dangerous according to Mr. Fantastic, and a possible rebirth would take years to prevent history from repeating itself.

At the X-mansion, Minerva was making progress to rebuild her mind from the events of the Honkai Eruption, needles to say, she felt ashamed for her quest for retribution, mutants are now fed up with humanity transgressions against them, some mutants started exposing dark secrets and worse murder humans for their sins against people they're supposed to love and protect. In truth, yes the X-men are upset that Minerva nearly destroyed the world, but they are disgusted by humanity's selfish and sinful actions, even Xavier was disappointed in them and understood mutants and humans couldn't live together in peace as his dream wouldn't come true.

Magneto sighed, knowing his wish came true, humanity now at each other's throats. He wanted them to feel what his parents and fellow Jews felt during World War II, but never expected one mutant to turn them against each other. He was at the fallen nation of Genosha, where the mutants were brutally massacred by the giant Sentinels. It would seem, Minerva wanted to avenge the innocent mutants, he understood it, but realized it came with a price, now humanity is suffering for their sins. Magneto wanted them to suffer as his people suffer, but for some reason, it hurt him to see families and friends fall apart.

He scoffed, humans truly are the most disgusting creatures on the planet, and they deserve to suffer for their sins against their own people and mutants.

The X-men are even more worried about the situation, and pray that the mutants shouldn't blame Minerva for the destruction of Earth. Somewhere, a mutant with gray skin, blue lips and armor watches as the human race falls into a pit of despair, he smiles with glee as this is what they deserve.

Magneto wiped his tears, before flying away from his once fallen home for mutants. But what he didn't know was that the mutants of Genosha were revived and alive from Bailey's eternal flame.

Minerva was given a room at the X mansion, using a security protocol, to protect her from herself. Xavier had made safety measures to protect her and everyone else in case the Herrscher persona woke up, surprisingly it didn't. Despite this, the X-men don't want to risk another Honkai Eruption nor a war with the government, so they have to keep their guard around anyone who wants revenge against Minerva for her brutal actions. They stayed in contact with Dare-Devil, to discuss the situation about the United Nations putting her on trial, this made them worry, but the defenders and other heroes of the countries have confirmed that citizens will be isolated during the trial.
