Heard you talk to your friend
About how you wanted us to end.
"I can't," you had said.
Hearing that, my heart bled.
I had never felt so broken.
It was just two words you had spoken.
So deep in my heart it hurt,
Everything had just ruptured.
I prayed to God.
I had never begged, but yet I did.
This was a goodbye I could not bid.
Yet you were there,
Looking so unfazed,
My eyes with tears glazed.
You looked so, so, so-
Words cannot describe it.
But at that moment,
All I wanted to do was to try and make you mine again.
Turn your heart.
I didn't want us to be apart.
Yet there I was with a smile.
To process it all will take a while.
