She would walk the halls,
And everyone would whisper and talk.
All the girls in town wanted to be her,
Her hair cascading down her waist.
To brush her strands, my hands were in a haste.
The way her eyes twinkled,
Like stars were in her eyes sprinkled.
Her laugh showing those dimples,
She was so pure and simple. And I, I was stained,
With my demons chained.
It hurt me knowing I would dim her light,
Thinking if she would hate me,
I was in a fright.
Would she ever be mine?~Salina
