It had been approximately 5 days since Nika's injury and it's been the most stressful 5 days to say the least. Nika was upset she couldn't play so she took her anger out on her peers. First, her and Paige got into it and she completely stopped talking to Paige and began avoiding her. Then her and Azzi got into it and they apologized to each other but Nika was still distant. Then her and Kk got into, basically she told Kk she was too energetic and Kk took the offense to that and stopped talking to Nika.
You're probably wondering about her and Alexandrea, well that's what leads us to right now. Alexandrea was busy lecturing Nika about taking her anger out on others, and everything Alexandrea was saying was going through one ear and out the other. "Are you even listening to me, Nika?"this quickly got Nika's attention, it had been so long since Alexandrea called Nika by her first name. "Honestly?"Alexandrea shook her head. "No."Nika shrugged making Alexandrea groan.
"And there's your problem, everyone is just trying to help you and you're being a complete bitch about it."Alexandrea wasn't thinking before she spoke. Both of their eyes widen at the name she just called Nika. Nika scoffed before speaking. "I'm being a bitch but it was acceptable for Paige to do the same exact thing i'm doing when she tore her ACL?"Nika bitterly chuckled while shaking her head. "This isn't about Paige so quit trying to bring her into this."Alexandrea pointed out.
"Unbelievable"Nika muttered while shaking her head. "I can't do any of this shit anymore. I quit!"Nika shouted before getting up and walking towards the door. "You quit what Nika?"Alexandrea asked. "I quit everything, I quit basketball, I quit trying to talk to everyone, I fucking quit! I can't do this shit anymore."was the last few sentences Nika said before walking out and slamming the door.
Alexandrea sighed before pulling out her phone and calling Mariah. Mariah answered one the first ring with a big smile on her face but it faded away when she seen the look on Alexandrea's face. "What's wrong Andrea?"Mariah frowned. "I called Nika a bitch Riah..."Alexandrea trailed off. Mariah's eyes widen. "You did what?! Why would you call her a bitch?"Mariah asked as she set her phone up and it looked like she was packing.
"She's been so angry these past couple days, and she's taking it out on everyone. I don't know what to do"Alexandrea huffed and began rubbing her forehead. "Just talk to her Drea, I'm sure she understands you didn't mean it, and be cautious! She's probably still really tender, you have to remember she's been playing basketball almost her whole life so sitting out for so long isn't normal to her."Mariah gave Alexandrea the best advice she could.
"I don't know where she went."Alexandrea muttered. "You have her location smart one."Mariah rolled her eyes before walking towards her phone. "Let me know what she says, love you!"Mariah smiles. "Love you more."they hang up and Alexandrea looks for Nika's location. She shakes her head once she realizes Nika's at Gampel. She gets up and grabs her wallet and keys before walking out of her room and dorm.
Once she gets to Gampel she walks in and hears dribbling. She turns the corner and sees Nika sitting in the bleachers dribbling with her right hand. When Nika heard the door open and close she looked over and seen Alexandrea walking in. She watched as Alexandrea walked over to her and sat next to her. "I'm sorry."Alexandrea spoke up. "It's fine, I deserved it."Nika shrugged and Alexandrea frowned. "You don't deserve being called a bitch, baby."Alexandrea hesitantly reached her hand out and put it on Nika's thigh.
"I don't know why i've been so mean to everyone. It feels weird not playing basketball when I've been playing basically my whole life. Do you understand that I can't play for another 5 weeks? That's half of my season Drea."Nika looked at Alexandrea with tears in her eyes. "I'm losing myself, I don't know what to do."Nika shook her head and gently kicked the basketball away from her. "Don't lose motivation, and it may sound weird but the longer you sit out the quicker your recovery is. I can't say I understand what you're going through bc I don't, but you just have to be patient my baby."Alexandrea rubbed Nika's thigh.
Nika nodded her head and wiped her tears. "Now stop crying you know I hate seeing you cry."Alexandrea whispered before reaching up and wiping Nika's tears too.
