The heroes of past and present must go,

to find  the kidnapped in the land beyond any throne,

The children of the moon will lead the way,

with Light and Dark battling the end of Day,

The team of many shall fight the shadowed hand,

The Camp they call home shall make their final stand,

The Brain and Brawn, The Dark curse to break

The rule of the Gods decided by their fate.

Percy2 P.O.V

I was in my room, about to go say hi to my Wise girl, when suddenly I heard a shout. I froze, listening to their cries.

Something wasn't right.

I ran down, to the source of the sound, and stopped, horrified. It was a scene like something out of my worst nightmares:

Nico was lying on the infirmary bed, his skin pale and a sheen of sweat coated his forehead, an aura of pure darkness surrounding him, his eyes black.

He had gotten the Dark Curse.

Next to him was Will, holding Nico's hand, his eyes a mix of yellow and black, swirling- no, fighting, the Dark Curse had gotten to him too-, his body as stiff as a log, his usually bright aura starting to darken.

It hadn't gotten him yet. We still had hope. I could save him- I- I know I could- I just have to get to him-

'Will! Nico!' I shouted, and ran towards them, but I barely got 2 meters when I felt multiple hands clamp on my arms and shoulders, holding me back.

Why were they holding me back? Didn't they understand? I could save him! I know I could, I just had to get there- and all will be solved-

'Percy, you can't do anything, you'll just get the curse too.' Jason said, sounding devoid, numb, but reasonable

But I wasn't the same.

'Will's still fighting! It hasn't taken him yet-' I said-

Why didn't they understand! They just have to let me get to him-

'Percy, look.' A solemn voice behind me said, and so I did, and my heart fell.

Will's eyes now fully black, his aura midnight purple, his tan skin pale, his body stiff. Still, his hand was connected to Nico's, like he couldn't let go.

I stopped fighting, and stood still, my arms soon returning limply to my side.

Nico and Will had been taken by the curse, they were gone. And we didn't know how long it would take for them to awaken- or if they could even awaken. 

My body felt numb, I was in shock, this couldn't happen, no- Will doesn't deserve this- Nico doesn't deserve this.

Why them?

All I could think about was: I had failed them. I had failed Bianca, Nico's sister, who had trusted me with her brother's life, Hazel, who would come down to see him on the floor, taken away by the curse, Reyna, who would expect to see Will in the morning, with Nico, only to find out that they wouldn't be there.
