After some time the two finally went back to bed, sleeping until the sun began to stir from the horizon. Riku was the first to wake as the sunlight filtered through the window and shined onto his face and caused him to wince. It was so bright, yet Riku found himself smiling to be woken by such a shine... To be truly woken up by sunlight instead of those false memories of it made him eager to sit up and stretch the sleep away.
"Mmmm Vanitas, it's morning." Riku looked over to the other who was bundled under the blankets.
Vanitas stirred, but instead that bundle grew bigger. Riku let out an amused chuckle as Vanitas poked his head out momentarily until he noticed the light, hissing like a cat at such a displeasing way to awake. Just as quickly as he had appeared he vanished back under the blankets and groaned.
"It's too bright." A complaining muffled voice protested.
"You're just used to being in darkness. Come on grump, I'm sure you're eager to leave." Riku threw the blankets off of himself, swinging his feet over the edge of the bed and standing. The bundle of blankets continued to stay still, prompting Riku to place his hands on his hips like an annoyed parent and sighed. "I'm going to count to three, and if you aren't up you'll regret it."
"Do your worse." The clump replied.
Riku held up a fist. "One..." A finger popped up. "Two..." There was still no stir and another finger shot up from Riku's fist. "Three!"
When the lump refused to respond even after the count, Riku grasped handfuls of blanket and tore it off of the grump. Vanitas groaned in protest and curled himself into a ball as he was exposed to the light and the cold. Riku threw the stolen blanket on the floor, looking at Vanitas with delight. For someone who desperately didn't want to stay the night now he certainly didn't want to leave.
Riku gently patted the others shoulder, shaking him gently. "Hey, do you want to leave or not?"
Vanitas didn't budge. "I'll be up in a minute. Just... Wait outside or something."
Riku playfully rolled his eyes, but followed orders and retreated from the room. The timing Riku left the room was impeccable as there was a knock at the front door just as Riku left Vanitas alone. He opened the door, and there stood his original with a bright grin on his face. This encounter didn't leave the replica in shambles, and instead he was filled with excitement.
"Come on out and let's give the new blade a test trial, mkay?" The original indicated with a jerk of his head.
Riku nodded enthusiastically, following his original outside where Sora stood and waited. He seemed just as happy but kept his quiet, and by his side he held that brand new Keyblade Riku eagerly stared towards.
Sora approached him cautiously, gingerly holding out the blade as an offering for Riku to take. He did his best not to snatch the blade as he was overly thrilled to receive a repaired blade. The Way to the Dawn blade was in its full glory, it's black and red exterior glistening off the sunlight as if someone had polished it. Riku inspected it happily, taking in every detail the blade had to offer.
The original Riku crossed his arms, a small smirk on his face at the sight of the replica happily holding his new toy. "Looks good?" He asked.
He received a nod. "Absolutely. Thank you, for repairing it. I can't imagine it was easy to do."
"Well, we weren't the ones to actually repair it. That was someone else's problem." The original snickered.
"Hey uh... Riku?" Sora piped in bashfully. When both of them turned to respond, Sora's face turned red. He was forced to point the towards the replica to be more specific as to which Riku he was referring to. "You, this Riku. Um can I ask something?"
