Did you read this message? So you guys think this about me. There are many other messages which are even worse than this.
In the last 17 days, I have only missed posting chapters for 4 days, and in those 13 days, I have posted a total of 25 chapters. I don't understand where I am going wrong. What have I done to receive hate comments for the past two weeks? Not just here, but also on Instagram's personal messages, readers are telling me that I am wronging them.
Yes, my novel has received millions of hits, and honestly, I didn't expect it when I started writing. I didn't think my story would be such a hit. I never had any expectations, so I never set a target for votes. I never said that I would post the next chapter only after getting a certain number of votes. I regularly post chapters, yes, sometimes I don't post because I don't have time. Does this mean you will send me such messages? You were sending personal messages on Instagram, but now that it's a public platform, how can you say such things to me in the conversation box?
I understand that readers sometimes, or rather often, get frustrated and write whatever comes to mind in the comments while reading. But that doesn't mean the writer doesn't feel bad. Writers are very emotional; I don't know about others, but I am.
And another thing, this is a multi-couple book with a total of 9 couples, including Alok and Shobha, and I'm writing their love stories, creating moments, adding comedy, romance, action, and balance. So, do you think this story will end soon? No, it will take time. When I write the story, thoughts keep coming to my mind, and the chapters increase. I haven't written all the chapters beforehand, so I don't know how many chapters it will take to end this story.
I never set a target, I regularly post chapters. I mostly don't react to negative comments. I did once when people started using abusive language in the comments because I didn't like it.
Initially, I thought of leaving the story on this platform, but there are many readers who genuinely love this story.
So now, I'm giving you all some options.
First: I'll post chapters daily for their sake. However, I can't tell you when the story will end.
Second option: I'll stop posting chapters for now and upload all the chapters together once the story is complete.
Third option: If you want the story to end soon, tell me, and I'll focus on Anokhi and Rishabh's love story, sidelining the other couples, to conclude the story faster.
Also, a reader messaged me saying that I easily post two-three chapters together since I've already posted extra chapters on Pocket Novel, so it's not a big deal for me. Seriously, though? Yes, I did post extra chapters on Pocket Novel because that's where I started, but I'm not copying and pasting that content here. Translating the feelings into English is also a difficult task. How can you just make fun of my effort?
If you think this way about my story, please stop reading it because you're insulting me and my story.
Let's put this aside and focus on the three options I provided. Tell me in the comments section, and I'll proceed with the chapters based on the majority vote.
There won't be any chapter today. I'll wait for 24 hours to see which option gets the most comments. If you choose the second option, there won't be any chapters for several days.
And yes, this time, I'm not sorry for anything. I used to apologize when I didn't post chapters because I knew readers were waiting, but have you ever thought why I post chapters late at night? It's because I only get time at night. I stay up till 1 or 2 am to post chapters. I'm not doing anything new; all writers work hard, and there are many multi-couple books, so do you comment similarly on their stories too or am I the only special one?
If yes then fine I'll also update like other writers, three or two days a week, and set a target. Will that work for you?
I was also a reader once, I know how it feels, but I've never commented like this on any book or novel. I will wait for your answer.
I'm really really hurt this time. I feel like maybe this platform isn't made for me. Because I have never faced this situation on any other platform. No reader has said like this.
