Chapter 5: a peaceful room

We walked up a staircase that kept moving,as did the others.

When we reaches the floor we were trying to reach we passed a painting that talked.

It was a painting of a fat lady.

"That's the gryffindor common room!" Harry told me.

"Great!" I said.

"Yeah!" Harry agreed.

"Ah ha!" Dumbledore exclaimed.

"What?" I asked.

"Why this is your new room!" Dumbledore told us.

"Room?" Hermione asked.

"Where?" She continued.

"You see right behind that painting."

We looked at a big diamond shaped painting of a women holding a baby.

"Password?" She asked.

I looked at Dumbledore. He smiled at me like he was expecting me to know the password.

"Um..." I started.

Then I remembered the what lily always told me was her favorite thing about Hogwarts...

"Password!" I said.

Lily always told me she loved the password to to all the common rooms and Dumbledores office.

The door opened and everyone looked at me funny including Dumbledore.

"What?" I smiled throwing a arm 'round harry.

We walked into the room.

The main colors were ocean blue and cream.

There was a cushiony cream colored couch and a fireplace.

Then a window on the wall opposite the couch.

It was a bright and peaceful room.

"What's through that door?" Ron asked pointing to a door next to the fireplace.

"That is where your bed is Corrine!" Dumbledore said.

I opened the door,it was locked.

"Hmm?" Dumbledore said.

Then I remembered a spell Lilly told me.

"Olahamora!" I pointed the wand mrs.Weasley gave me at the door.

It opened.

I smiled.

We walked into the room...

It had a small chair and a full size bed.

No windows but still so peaceful.

"Oh this is so beautiful!" Hermione exclaimed.

"It 'tis!" I agreed we both sat down on the bed.

"Well we're gonna go." Harry said and Harry,Dumbledore,Ron and Hermione left the room.

I walked into the main room and sat down on the couch.

"Wow!" I pulled out my wand and started practicing spells I knew.

The next morning I woke up and went to the Great Hall for breakfast.

I met Harry,Ron and Hermione there.

"Good morning Corrine!" Hermione greeted as I sat down next to her.

" 'Morning Hermione!" I returned the greeting.

" 'morning Ron,Harry!"

I put some eggs on my plate.

"Are you supposed to be with Slughorn today?" Hermione asked.

"Yeah I think so." I replied.

"Sigh! Well I'll see ya later." Harry said and the three of them got up and left.

"Ah miss Evans!" I looked up and saw Dumbledore coming towards me.

"Yes?" I asked.

"You see Mcgonagall is normally head of gryffindor but since we have you here this year we thought you should be head." Dumbledore explained.

"Uh hu...well sure." I accepted.

"Great!" Dumbledore walked away after that.
