Chapter 9: sold

The next 3 mornings were our last and we were all lined up next to the Hogwarts express January 1st.

"Harry you know I have to stay." I hugged Harry.

"Yeah of course!" He hugged me tight.

"By the end of the year I'll have bought a house and you'll come HOME." I released him and smiled at him encouragingly.

"Take care and don't let Dumbledore work you to hard." I hugged him one last time.

Before I knew it the train disappeared around the corner.

I walked back to the muggle world and all the way to a ministry of magic realtor station.

Ding! Ding!

I rang the bell at the front.

"Yes?" A scratchy women's voice answered

"Hi I'm looking for a house!" I told the women.

"Aren't we all!" She snapped and stood up and started scribbling something down.

"Name?"

"Corrine Evans." I answered.

"Do you want to sell?"

"No just buy!"

"Um hmm!"

"How big a house?"

"Well I would guess 2 bedrooms a den a kitchen and at least 2 bathrooms." I replied.

"That would be about $300,000." She said.

"Show up here tomorrow and ask for Lila Jenny." She handed me a white price if paper.

It said:

9:00-11:00

Wednesday-Monday

CORRINE EVANS.

I shrugged and walked out of the building.

I walked into the realtor building the next morning.

"Yes?" Another women's voice answered.

"Hi I'm here for Lila Jenny!" I told her.

"I'm Lila!" A young girl with shirt blond hair said from a desk.

"I'm Corr-"

"I know who you are!"

"Come'n I have a few houses to show you already!" She pulled me out the door.

"Okay!" I smiled and followed her out the door.

"The first house I want to show is a ranch style with three bedrooms and two bathrooms a kitchen and a living room and a breakfast area!" She explained.

"Nice huh?"

"Sounds very nice!" I agreed.

We walked into a driveway if a small house with stone on the outside and a long wooden deck with a wooden door.

"That's very pretty!" I admired the outside of the house.

"Yes!"

She unlocked the door and walked into a huge open space.

On the left was a breakfast area with a big window.

On the right was a side hallway and straight a head was the living area. It had a stone fire place and 2 windows on either side.

"Very nice!" We walked into a kitchen with alit of cabinet space a stove and microwave and a refrigerator.

"It's very spacious!" I admired.

"Yes and this isn't it!" Lila said.

We walked into the hallway where the bedrooms were.

The first one ( which would be mine) was very wide.

It had closet and a large bathroom.

The next one was pretty much the same just smaller.

The two of us left the house.

"What did you think?" Lila asked while she locked the door.

"I loved it!" I smiled.

"Good! Now I have two more houses to show you so lets go!" We ran to another house.

The other two were nice but they weren't as big as the first.

3 days later I walked into the realtor building ready sign the foreclose papers.

I had put an offer into the house and the owners accepted; $250,000.

I say down in a chair Lila handed me the two papers.

I signed them...

"You are now a proud owner of a house!" She smiled gave me a hug.

"Here are your keys!" She handed me my keys.

"Thank you!" I left the building once more.

Dear Harry,

I have bought a ranch house it is nice and big. I think you will like

It! How is everybody? I miss you.

Is Dumbledore working you to hard? Be truthful!

I folded the letter up and tied it around an owl Harry and Ron gave me for Christmas.

I called her Avalon.

I watched as the bird flew off and grew smaller and smaller until she was only a dot.

I smiled.
