When she got to the fifty first floor, y/n looked from one hallway to the next. Which room was he in anyway? She took a breath and decided to go right, her head looking from the room door to the next. She was going on a pure gut feeling. Her feet carrying her where her heart is telling her to go.

“Is it this door,” she asked herself almost too quietly. When she raised her hand, she noticed how her fingers began to shake. Will he be mad? Of course he will be. He helped her escape when he shouldn’t have. Blade…

Before she could touch the doorknob, however, the knob had twisted and the door was pulled back and she found herself looking up. Her breath catching in her throat as Blade wore a similar surprised expression.

“Y-“

She didn’t let him finish when she hugged him, took him in and everything. He was injured, she could see that. It must have been because of her. Blade had finally let go of the door handle. His gaze fixed on you as his arms tensed up., “what are you doing here,” he finally found his voice, but the moment he said those words, her arms had tightened around him.

“Sorry.”

He frowned, “I said to stop apologizing.”

“I know, but I’m sorry.”

She finally looked up at him, “I wanted to solve my problems head on, so I came back, and…I wanted to tell you that I finally understand. I understand what you were trying to say to me.”

“I said a lot to you.”

“You said just enough. I… I know about Dan Heng and…about Jing Yuan. I know and I understand.”

Blade stared into her eyes just as she stared into his, unwavering and not a hint of mistrust.

“I think I understand you too. You lied to me, yet you saved me and told me the truth about yourself. You even tried to warn me, but I feel like you didn’t tell me everything because you knew that I had to figure out for myself. And…I understand your turmoil now. What its like to not be in control and have everyone just take and take and take from you. I understand.”

“So with everything you understand, what did you do before coming here?”

After everything that has happened, she found that she wanted to laugh, “I broke up with Dan Heng, didn’t to seek Jing Yuan’s help, and decided to … see you.”

“You shouldn’t be here.”

“I’m sorry.”

“You should have ran far away.”

“I’m sorry.”

“You had a chance to get away from the Stellaron Hunters.”

“I’m sorry.”

“I said to stop apologizing, foolish girl.”

She smiled at him, “sorry.”

He felt his frown began to falter when he looked at her. That same feeling from before rose up in his chest in a whirlwind. And he understood too. This wasn’t some feeling of him wanting to hurt her. It was something else entirely.

“So you’re here, you’re going to join the Stellaron Hunters and then what? Let them use you as they do everyone else?”

Not once did she let him go from her hug, she kept that same close distance between. Maybe she was afraid to let go.

“Well… can I sing for you?”

His heart started to hurt. The dull ache throbbing in his ribcage. He felt his arms move on their own as they encircled her waist.

“Such a foolish girl.”

His arms tightened around her just as much as she had own arms around him. Though, one hand of his had left her waist and laid gently at the back of her neck.

“And you’re such a stubborn immortal.”

He scoffed lightly, before tilting her head back and slotting his lips against her own. The first time he kissed her, he still wanted that control. He wanted her. Be it to hurt her or to save her, he didn’t know at the time. But now he did.

“Sing for me then, angel.”

“What song,” she asked, their lips brushing against each other.

“Something sweet.”

“Where do you want me to sing? Here?”

“Elsewhere. An unreachable paradise. A place that you savor for me.”

“Where would that be?”

“I have a few places in mind.”

When he pulled away from her, she found that she chased after his lips, but he had held her in place.

“This place isn’t for you.”

“But I’m already here.”

“Yet you haven’t joined yet,” he said as he let his hands fall away from her before grabbing one of her wrists, “let’s go.”

“I don’t need to be saved, I made this decision on my own.”

“You made that last decision of coming here on your own too, yet you turned into a crying mess anyway.”

“H- hey!”

He tugged her towards the door, but instead of heading to the elevator that she came from, they headed a different way. And trying to ignore his previous jab, she decided to question him again, “so you’re saving me again?”

“Joining the Stellaron Hunters is a fate far worse than not knowing your fate at all.”

“And you will be joining me this time, right?”

“How else will you sing for me? Besides, if I don’t, you’ll just come back anyway.”

“Why are you so snarky?”

She couldn’t see the smirk on his face when they made it to an elevator she didn’t know about it.

“It’s not every day that I get what I want.”

When they entered the elevator, y/n had looked up at him, “and what is it that you want?”

“Wasn’t it obvious,” he asked as he pressed a button, “you.”
