Almost a full year since an update, so sorry bout that, but between little drive to write and one personal tragedy after another, I've had little desire to write.
Now I've got a reason to write after........a loss on Monday, to keep myself occupied.

Scene Segment: Dejection
It had been five days since the match between Ruby and Yang.........with the latter having been slumbering in the medical wing. The extreme pressure that Yang's evolved semblance had put on her body and soul was too great to heal in a day or two.
Ruby stood watch over her sister when she had no classes or tasks to do, forgoing even eating since there wasn't any need with her bio-atomic body. The slow rise and fall of Yang's chest as she breathed with the help of an oxygen mask was the only sure sign the blonde brawler still lived.
A weary sigh passed through Ruby's lipless mouth at the depressing sight of her sister being comatose.
'I'm getting tired of this.........everywhere I go anymore seems to bring tragedy in my wake.' Despite it being less than two months since the incident that had her mutate into her current form, to Ruby Rose............it felt like centuries.
Every time she thought about she'd have to endure this forever; despair eroded her sanity and a thousand malicious worms of negativity dug into her radioactive heart.
The sound of Scylla swishing across the floor with the soft pump of Yang's oxygen mask made the room feel so much more oppressive and uncaring; as if this was a tiny box where Ruby could stew on how much she hated, hated, hated, HATED this entire situation.
There within those silver orbs lay a fire that was barely contained. It was a fire fueled by hatred, rage, despair, agony, guilt, shame, and a million more negative thoughts and emotions.
Pulses of purple light from Ruby's dorsal plates lit the room up as she discharged a non-harmful amount of radiation. She hadn't had any overheating accidents since the night before the initiation, but she wouldn't gamble the chance of something happening if she could just release small amounts from time to time.
Flipping over her clawed left hand, her right index finger traced the bumpy black skin that adorned most of her body, a look of utter disgust appearing on her terrifying face.
She hated that this is what she had become. Hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, HATE! Teeth the size of steak knives clashed together within Ruby's mouth in a ear-splitting cacophony while she gnashed her teeth at the unfairness of it all.
If there was any God responsible for this...........she would KILL THEM.
Giving one last glance at Yang, the sister she hurt in her need to vent her frustrations, Ruby stood up from her chair and walked out of the room.
'I need to clear my head or else I might snap.' Where could she go where she could be alone, though?
Vale had many places where one could be relax with no-one around for meters upon meters, but that couldn't work for Ruby since her enhanced hearing would let her overhear everything around her.
