Chapter Four
...

Prime Minister Aka looked out across the city of Tokyo and smiled. Aka's suit was neatly pressed, and the color of rose. He smelled impeccable, an aroma of confidence and power that came with being the most beloved prime minister since the crime eradication act was implemented. Despite All Might being the public face of the Second Era Of Peace, it was Aka's reformations that stopped new crime rings from arising. The economic benefits of Prime Minister Aka's reign had reformed Japan into the second wealthiest country in the world despite the snow issues.

Shoto Todoroki had been killed, without confirmation, there was a chance he could return, but that was neither here or there. It had been two years since he had risen to the role of Prime Minister, and during that time, he had grown more power. First, he took over the hero association, and then he found his new favorite plaything. That didn't mean much as he has plenty of heroes to manipulate, but All Might was one of his favorites.

All Might didn't trust him at first, in fact Aka knew that he was aware of his secret, but he couldn't tell a soul. This Era of peace All Might created existed with Aka's help, and it would crumble if he fell. For all of his power, he was incapable of actually using that power to make moves against him. Now, he saw Aka as a symbol of peace like himself, an integral part of realizing his dream.

The thought made Aka laugh as he looked at his fingers. He just needed to draw out Izuku Midoriya, and he could launch the next stage. He had expexted the boy to lay low for a few months, but it seemed as if his spirit were crushed. Aka had considered killing All Might to draw him out, but All Might was needed for the new Era to continue.

He smiled as he looked at the people below. Those insignificant ants could never understand what he had accomplished, and if it would accelerate his plans, he would sacrifice them all. Grand attacks weren't his style however, he was a patient man who had earned his lifestyle after years of practicing this patience.

Speaking of attacks, he thought about the battle and how Shoto Todoroki would have had a confirmed death if not for that interruption. Considering how close the fight was to his villa, he had it burnt down after all without Hisashi's body it didn't need to exist. The villa was nice, but he could always buy a better villa, one with more impressive views and a deeper basement. Counting on the death of one kid to make sure his plans stay on track was risky, but it was a worthy trade-off.

"Prime Minister, Lemillion is here to see you." The voice of his secretary called out to him through the intercom. His thoughts being cut off as he centered his mind, pushing the thoughts of Shoto Todoroki out of his mind.

Aka found Mirio or rather Lemillion to be so enjoyable. The boy had graduated at the start of the New Era of Peace, and only two years later, he had become the ninth ranked hero, saving four hundred thousand people in the span of two years. Those numbers didn't mean anything to Aka however, anyone could save a person, but Mirio had the willpower to do what no one else would do.

"Send him in." Aka said, his politician's voice calling out to his secretary as Mirio walked through the doors.

Mirio had gotten taller and more muscular, almost resembling All Might in his youth without the two bunny ears. His costume was mostly the same as it had been except with some modifications that allowed him to use his quirk more efficiently. He was truly a fine hero and a powerful quirk user. That being said Aka knew what his report would be before Mirio even uttered the words. He wouldn't interrupt however as he savored the hunt for Izuku Midoriya.

"Sir, I regret to inform you that I wasn't able to find Izuku Midoriya, Ochako Uraraka, or the missing girl Eri." Mirio said a look of disappointment crossing his face. He took his duty to find Izuku very seriously. However, unlike Aka, he didn't want to hurt Izuku only to bring him back so his innocence could be proven. It was a noble goal but a very stupid goal for one to aspire too.

Aka smiled warmly and walked over to Mirio, placing a hand on his shoulder. "Mirio, my boy, you are a fine hero who's done so much for Japan and its people. One day, you will find Izuku, and innocent or not, justice will prevail." Aka said, being careful to keep up the appearance that he was on Izuku's side.

"This Era of Peace can't fall, if the killer is out there." Mirio began to say before Aka shook his head. He noticed Mirio didn't say Izuku’s name, and that was definitely a good thing as it showed he could turn Mirio against Izuku in every shape and form.

"The Era of Peace we are in is only achievable because heroes vanquished the evils on Tartarus, yet that cycle can't continue, the Hero Killer and All For One's successor Nine remain threats as well and yet they do not act do they?." Aka said adding a question to draw Mirio closer to him.

"They don't act." Mirio replied honestly. He didn't want to admit it but even he found two years to be absurd. If this was truly the second Era of peace, fugitives should not be allowed to run rampant, spreading their villainous ideologies like the bacteria that they are.

"They'll don't act because we have heroes like you and All Might who keep the peace." Aka said with a smile. "I am happy you're looking for Izuku, but he'll come back some day, for now, focus on your goal." Aka added.

"I'm halfway there." Mirio said with a hopeful smile. He enjoyed the talks with Aka as they always made him feel accomplished as he truly understood what Mirio wanted and how important his dream was to not only himself but the assured future of Japan.

"Exactly now, go make us proud, and don't let this small setback impact that hopeful smile." Aka said warmly. His smile hiding his sinister intentions as if he were a completely separate person entirely.

"Thank you, Prime Minister." Mirio said as he bowed. The respect he held for the Prime Minster was something Aka wished All Might would imitate. Of course, All Might still believed he truly earned this second Era of peace, and someone that foolish will never change.

Aka nodded back as the boy left, leaving Aka alone. He waited a few seconds before letting a sinister smile cross his face. "If only you knew how much the pleasure was all mine." Aka murmured as he walked towards his desk, sitting in his chair.

Unbeknownst to Mirio, the upgrades in his suit were a tracker as well as a microphone. He had figured Izuku might ask him for help, so he made Mirio his agent unknowingly. Normally, a hero would inspect gifts, but when Aka had given the upgrades to Mirio, he had seen it as a gift. Despite being the new ninth ranked hero, Mirio was a fool.

Aka pulled out a map of Japan, noting every detail of it as he had made adjustments to the borders. Where the snowfall fell was a line that split Japan almost in half. Reo Yuki had been in hiding for years, but ever since he had gotten the reports that his nephew had interfered with Shoto Todoroki, he had been preparing something grand.

The rest of Class 1-A had grown into Class 3-A, which had lived relatively normal lives since Izuku had disappeared. Coupled with the number one United States Hero going missing, it would only be a matter of time before they begged for new heroes from Aka. Nejire Hado had already left along with the Crawler, but with new company's rolling into the hero business, things were getting messy. Especially with advancements from artificial quirk boosting technology. The landscape of power would change, but Aka was more than ready for the changes.

"I have a month to depose one of the greatest crime lords in history." Aka said amused with himself. Reo Yuki had evaded him for far too long, and with a new campaign strategy, he would solve the mysterious winter that fell upon his land. "Enjoy your freedom while it lasts." He said with a smug smile.
