"Y/n and Sal breakfast is ready!" your eyes fluttered open as you heard Ashley call out your name; Sal was already awake scrolling through his phone; looking away from his phone he looked down at you "morning beautiful" he said with a small smile. "morning" you groggily said as you sat up. looking at the time it was 10:32 am; getting out of bed you threw on a hoodie as it was a little cold.

Sal followed behind you as the both of you made your way downstairs; he held your hand as you walked down the hall. you were excited for today since you all agreed to go sledding later in the afternoon when the sun was out so it would be less cold.

arriving downstairs there were 2 plates with a simple breakfast; eggs, bacon and hash browns. "morning sleepyheads" Larry said as he stuffed his mouth full of food "morning Larry."

honestly you weren't really hungry in the morning, but you didn't want to be rude and not eat so you forced down a few bites of food. everyone started talking about sledding later, you were quiet as you poked your food with the fork. Sal noticed your quietness and nudged your leg, you looked at him as he leaned over to you. "you okay?" he whispered as the others continued the conversation "yea, just not that hungry" he nodded and joined the other's conversation as he placed his hand on your thigh.

you blushed a little at where he placed his hand, you didn't mind that his hand was on your thigh it was just a little unexpected.

time skip 2:43 pm

everyone was outside having fun, Larry and Ash were racing to see who could get to the bottom of the hill with their sleds; both of them running up the hill and going straight down once the both of them got up there. Y/n and Sal decided on walking around to see if there was any other hills they could sled down; Todd and Neil were making a snowman at the top of the hill.

"are you cold already?" Sal teased as he saw you shake a bit "no! well...maybe a little but once we go sledding i'll probably get used to it" you said as the both of you arrived at a different hill. "i think Todd said this one connects to the hill that Ash and Larry are sledding on" you were honestly shocked at how many hills and trails there were, i mean it is a ski resort.

looking at the hills it didn't seem to bad or steep like a few of the other ones you saw. "you ready?" Sal asked as he was already on his sled, you quickly got on yours "ready." the two of you took off, the cold breeze hitting your face as you started to go faster, you felt kind of cold, which soon went away as the forest trees started decrease and you could start to see the other hills.

laughter and happiness was all you could feel, and it felt nice, you don't remember the last time you were this happy; you started to slow down as you reached the bottom of the hill; Larry and Ash were at the bottom out of breath from running up the hill.

"what were you lovebirds doing?" Ash teased as you came to a stop near them Sal right behind "just walked around to find a different hill" "sureeeeee" both Larry and Ash said. your face flushed but couldn't be noticed as your face was already red from the cold.

everyone continued to sled, Y/n and Sal both went on a sled and Larry and Ash did the same thing, they raced a few times down the hill; Todd and Neil made a snowman at the top of the hill, Larry named it Gary as it rhymed with his name.

its been a few hours now and everyone was starting to get tired and Y/n was starting to get cold so everyone started to make there way back. it was a long day and everybody just wanted to watch movies for the rest of the night; arriving back Ash and Todd left to the kitchen to make hot chocolate.

Y/n went to the living room and buried herself in one of the blankets while Larry set up a movie; Sal sat next to Y/n and she immediately cuddled up to him. Larry chose the movie Nightmare Before Christmas; which was one of Y/n's favourite movies (love tim burten 🙏)

Ash and Todd came out with the hot chocolate for everyone and Larry started the movie; sipping on your hot chocolate you could feel your eyes get heavy as the warmth from Sal and the blanket made you tired.

going in and out of sleep as the movie played, you tried fighting the sleep to try and continue the movie but you finally let the sleepiness consume you.

about halfway through the movies the other realized you were asleep. "is Y/n asleep?" "it looks like it" "should we...i don't know..draw on her face?" Larry as he smiled at Ash "yes yes yes!" they both got excited, but before they could get up Sal stopped them "no ones drawing on my girlfriends face" he said while pulling you closer to him. "aw someones being protective~" Ash teased.

Sal blushed but it couldn't be seen from his mask. Sal knew he could trust his friends, he just still didn't feel comfortable enough to keep his mask off. his mask was like a piece of clothing; he felt naked without it.

the movie started to end and everyone slowly started to make there way to their rooms, Y/n and Sal were the last two left. he didn't want to wake you but he also didn't want to leave you on the couch, so he got up carefully as to not wake you as he moved from his spot.

successfully getting up, he prayed that you wouldn't wake up at what his next move was gonna be; slowly and carefully he picked you up bridal style and made his way towards the room.

the movement woke you up slightly "Sal..?" you quietly whispered as you were still half asleep "hey...sorry if i woke you up" he whispered back as he continued walking "go back to sleep my love" he kissed your forehead after saying that. you nuzzled your head more into his chest as he made his way back to the room.

Sal walked down the hallway towards the room with you fast asleep again; arriving at the entrance of the room he opened the door fully and walked in, he carefully placed you into the bed and went back to close the door, before he could leave you grabbed his arm. "stay." "i just need to close-" "please.." your voice cracked as a few tears fell.

Sal didn't care if the door was open anymore; he got on his knees and sat beside the bed "i'm not going anywhere." he softly said as he wiped your tears away and pushed a few strands of hair behind your ear.

after you told Sal what happened to you back at your hometown he always wanted to be there for you and show you what love really is, even if he didn't really know what to do half the time; the last time he saw actual love was when his mom was alive.

Sal slowly got up and made his way to his spot on the bed, unclipping his mask and putting it on the bedside table, he got under the covers and cuddled up next to you. "i love you Y/n" he quietly said before drifting off to sleep.
