Blades

I hauled a pickaxe over my shoulder struggling to withhold myself under the pressure, I might of been well trained but I definitely wasn't secured for dragging huge chained stones and equipment twice my size across the cold damp floors of secret caves. I felt weak beneath the surface as usual - mum used to tell me there was a chance I would struggle with it since I discovered my elemental powers at such a young age something to do with maturing alongside it, I don't know.

"For fucks sake, this is stupid." I complained, earning a sympathetic look from Jay and Cole but a round of shushes from
the other weird creatures surrounding me, including Kai, and I guess Lloyd. The clanking Of rock on metal shot darts at my brain as I struggled to drown them out. I picked up a piece I'd just clunked off of the rocks. "Or maybe not... I think I know what this is it's-"

"Familiar. We've seen it before!" Lloyd exclaimed.

"It's Vengestone!" Nya cried smiling for what seemed like the first time in forever. "That's why our powers failed." And that's why I'm weaker than normal.

Great.

Vengestone and were 60 foot beneath the surface. Just perfect. No way out now.

I heard a sharp whip from behind me, I turned curious to see what it is. "Hey! Leave him alone you big bully!" I heard Cole scream waving his pickaxe round like a mad man. It was some big Rhino looking stone hedgehog. It's nice he's defending those of his kind. "Okay, I didn't think that through."

"Let's just hope it's as stupid as you." I laughed backing up slowly since I had a godawful massive chain wrapped round my leg. The skeleton got closer despite our retreat slinging a whip in all directions. Not cool. I was sure it would get me until Nya caught it with her hand launching the skeleton backwards. As me and the ninja congregated around the fallen creature we watched the purple and green... things go along with us.

Except now we where surrounded.

"That went amazing." I scoffed watching the cage door slam on my face. I learnt against the bone structure and slid to the floor, Jay came to sit next to me.

"That accomplished very little." Zane added to my point.

"Yeah. But it was worth it." Cole shouted unsurprisingly, best brother award goes to Cole for getting us all trapped, multiple times. I would've made a snarky comment but he was already shouting again, a large rhino looking thing nudging him from outside the cage. "Oh! You again."

"For you. Murt bring food." Murt said handing Lloyd a bowl. I looked at the the soggy green liquid and sighed. This would be a long day.

"Don't trust Munce bearing gifts!"

"Don't trust Geckles blade stealer!"

I looked at Jay in frustration him giving me a similar look. Knowing this could go on I leant my head on his shoulder noticing him tense up but quickly relax. I smiled.

"Guys! Come on, why do you hate each other so much?" Lloyd said, they started explaining but I had practically already fallen sleep.

The ground was cold and wet my clothes where dirty and my hair was knotted but for some reason with my head on Jays shoulder and his hand on my back everything was ok.

You're gonna hate me because I was on holiday (in Bulgaria it was lovely). This is really short. And I don't know if I'm gonna be able to update anymore. I'm getting super busy with school but I'll try my best. Fun fact I actually wrote most of these first chapters a really long time though they where mostly stuck in my drafts.
