Thunder and rain poured.
It was far from "just" a regular storm. Raging on for hours now, it really came out of nowhere, seemingly appearing at the same time as destruction did. Tales of a diluvial storm which ravaged the entire world were seemingly-brought to life to the very eyes of the very-much afraid civilians. However, what brought the calamity upon the city was not the rain, nor the lightning and the thunder — God, how they wished it was.
Instead, the demolisher of the city stood right before them, sharp, jagged teeth that drooled as if staring at a premium stake. Arms so large they seemed able to punch buildings down on a single go — Eyes with darkened sclera which reflected their agonized gazes of fear, and the hunger of the monster. A single step forward was enough for the entire room to shake, and for people to try and create some distance.
In the arms of her parents, Noi hugged her father even closer, desperately looking around for that mysterious stranger which came and went with the silent wind. She felt the clutch of her father tighten around her, not enough to hurt, but surely to keep a firm grip on the young girl. She closed her eyes, silently praying and begging for a salvation, and for someone to come again and stop this rampaging beast for good.
The Deep Sea King smiled. His nose twitched at the scent of flesh, his hands trembled at the sight of food. He took not only an A-Class Hero strike without flinching, but also the incredible rush of the S-Ranked Puri-Puri Prisoner, all that made him hurt a bit. So, when a human-sized chunk of concrete smashed at the back of his head hard enough for it to shatter, it hardly served as anything other than an attention-grabber.
Standing there, glaring down at him through the hole in the dome he had created, was the tall stature of a young man. His blonde hair stained with water thanks to the rain, his metallic body shining with the glow of the clouds just barely parting for a single ray of sun to shine down on him, as well as the menacing orange glow of his limbs. His dark-scleras reflected not the civilian's fears — But their unending relief.
Genos: ["Are you one of the Deep Sea Folk?"]
Deep Sea King: ["And what if I am?"]
Genos leaped from the ceiling, dropping to the ground in a flash of fire, and blazes. The embers dissipated into nothingness as he clashed on the ground, cracking the surface where he landed. Far behind the Deep Sea King, who didn't even turn around, but merely eyed Genos nonchalantly with a side-view. The cyborg remained on his knee after, thanks to his landing. As he spoke, the Deep Sea King turned around.
Deep Sea King: ["You must be another soldier-"]
As the Deep Sea King turned around, his eyes were pushed right back to where he was facing, courtesy of Genos' fist digging deep into his cheek. In a flash of fire, the cyborg's arm appeared to open, and spin around to create even more strength behind the punch that sent the Deep Sea King flying, as well as a ray of fire right behind — Enough to melt a gigantic hole through the wall, and many other far away buildings.
