Thinking about our night together was the only glimmer of happiness that brightened my very dull and detail oriented day.

The Pup was in his office surrounded by a pile of paperwork for the party quickly ascending upon us.

Meanwhile I was sitting in the board room with the other board members and ready to gouge my eyes out with the pen on the table.

"What do you think Bakugou? Is this anniversary party going to be enough to keep us above the competition?" Mr. Aizawa asked.

As the CEO I was head Alpha in this room but with my three associates Aizawa, Endeavor, and Toshinori. All were my advisors and and board members. The three of them helped me build this company from the ground up. Without them I wouldn't be where I am today.

"Without a doubt. There is no competition." I scoffed.

We were going over the anniversary party once again as if we didn't discuss this our last three meetings.

"Look, I know you have your concerns since Interbreed started gaining traction and sales, but it has not affected Cross Mate in any big way. On the scale we've lost hundreds of dollars whereas we are still bringing in hundreds of thousands of dollars." I explained showing off the charts Midoriya put together.

"I just worry that those hundreds of thousands that could have been millions; will start to dip once Interbreed gets their claws deeper into the public. They've already gotten a lot of sympathy following due to their charity works." Endeavor pointed out with a roll of his eyes.

"We do charity work." I scoffed. We donated a lot of money to different charities around the globe. We've held fundraisers and galas and auctions to help raise money.

"Yes, young Bakugou, but what Endeavor means is, Interbreed is using social media to really gain the public's empathy. Yes our company has an online presence, but we aren't connecting with our customers the way they do." Toshinori pointed out with a twitch of his long rabbit ears.

"So what are you saying?" I asked in annoyance.

"We need to connect more with our customers in order to keep them." Aizawa interjected.

"Fine, fine, fine just let me think it over and we can do a conference call. Meeting adjourned." I rubbed my temples as a headache began to form after the three of them had left.

Almost as if sensing my need for him, Midoriya appeared in the doorway. I could smell him before I saw him. His sweet apple scent was crisp and refreshing and revitalized me.

"I ordered takeout. I figured you'd be hungry after such a long day. I have some headache medication for you too." His footsteps approached and by the time I could almost touch his presence, I opened my eyes to find him leaning against the table where he placed a glass of water and two pills.

His big green eyes watched me with worry. I reached out taking his wrist and tugged him into my lap. He didn't complain. Instead he sank into my chest and breathed me in. The flutter of his heart beat against my hand holding him close.

"The food should be here any minute. Are you hungry?" He murmured against my neck as his nose nuzzled into the crook of my neck sending shivers down my spine.

"Famished." I chortled as I dipped my head to nip at his exposed neck.

He gasped and gripped my shirt on his fists as I gently sucked the sensitive spot on his neck where I'd mark him to claim him as my mate.

"You're incorrigible." He chuckled drawing back, but I held him tightly around the waist keeping him in place on my lap.

"Only for you." I admitted with a hint of bewilderment in my tone. I didn't know what sort of spell the Pup cast on me, but it was true, he had me wrapped around his finger and I couldn't place why.
"Why is that?" I hummed leaning close for a kiss.
