It's been a week already, which means I have one more week before my sister comes over.
I still need more time.
I was currently dealing with a rough customer. He was 3 shots into tequila, and I can tell he wasn't a big drinker because of how drunk he got so quickly. "Give me another shot now!" he yells. "Sir, I cannot do that. Your clearly too drunk to be having another shot" I say. I've dealt with so many people like him, I wasn't the least bit interested in this interaction. "Give me another shot or else" he yells once again. We kept going back and forth until one of his friends dragged him out.
I let out a deep sigh. Customers like that should not be allowed to be drinking period. Should've stuck with rum and coke. "I don't understand how you handle them so well" my coworker, Evie says. Evie was new to bartending, which also means she's my responsibility. Evie didn't come off as a bartender, she came off more of a bookstore owner.
She started about a month ago and I will say, she's too sweet for a job like this. This job involves dealing with drunk customers, having to kick people out, breaking up fights, and sometimes almost getting into them. Evie seems like the type to let the customers do whatever they wanted if they pinkie promised to not do anything bad.
"I've been working this job since I was not even 21, I've had my fair share of assholes like him" I say. She gives me a slight smile until she gets called over from a customer. As I cleaned the shot glasses the man left, I started to overhear a conversation. "Yea, I heard that she was cheating on him with his biggest enemy. It was all over those Instagram pages" one guy says. "Damn, if I was in his shoes, I would kick his ass." Another guy says.
I never understood famous people's relationships. You put your entire relationship online just to cheat? See, this is why I would never date a famous person. They're only about status and money. I want to date someone because they love me, not because I make them look good on their Instagram stories.
I was then called over by a customer. I get out my thoughts and start doing my job.
I was currently packing my bag for a trip I needed to take soon. I had an event coming up and I needed to get to Florida as soon as possible. As I was packing, my assistant, Diana, entered my room. "Your coach wants to know if you're sure you want to attend this event" she says. I look at her with a cold look on my face. "Tell him I'm going and that's that" I say firmly. Diana quickly nods her head and exits my room.
I stood over my bed with my suitcase that was filled with all my clothes. My phone was blowing up with messages after messages, calls after calls, I was about to block everyone on my phone.
I had found out my girlfriend, Jade, had cheated on me with one of my biggest kickboxing rivals. Damian fucking Graves. He was the one of the biggest kickboxers in the nation but was still below me. He wants to become number 1 and the only thing that was standing in his way of that was me. I didn't care as much for him, but he wouldn't leave me alone until he got under my skin.
And the first time in almost a decade, he did.
I found them making out in the back of a club that my team took me too. It didn't become public until the next morning since apparently there was someone witnessing the whole thing. And got it on video.
It's been almost a month since we broke up and it's been one hell of a month. Jade has been calling me all week, trying to apologize, but I won't answer. She embarrassed me Infront of millions of people. People now won't take me seriously and I will be damned if I'm not respected.
As I finished packing, my best friend Kai walked into my room. "Hey, how you holding up?" he asks. I ignored his question since I didn't feel like answering anyone unless they were my mother. "Well, I just wanted to wish you good luck on your event. Just imagine your opponent is Jade and kick their ass!" He says. I tried to hold back my laughter, but I couldn't. Kai was the only person, other than my mother, who could make me laugh.
I close my suitcase and grab my other bag. I take a deep breath before walking towards the door with Kai.
Fuck you, Jade.
