I had taken another night shift and let me tell you, it was emptier than a rundown salon. It was relaxing. No rushing to finish making a drink, no loud people who don't have common sense, and finally, no frat boys. I stood in the corner of the bar on my phone texting Lina about my sister.
We had approximate time of 5 days before she came over. I was trying to get as many shifts as possible before she came over so I could try to clear my schedule while she was here. Lina kept sending me memes back-to-back, I couldn't help but laugh out loud, because no one is here to tell me I can't. "Goodnight Serenity!" Evie yells. I looked up from my phone to see Evie at the door with her pink jacket that she wore with her black flare leggings and her hair in two pigtails. "Bye Evie, see you tomorrow" I yell back. She smiles at me before she walks out. She's so sweet, I can't.
As I kept texting Lina, I heard the door open. I look up from my phone and see the most majestic man I ever seen. He wore a dark grey sweatshirt paired with light grey sweatpants. And even though he was wearing unfitted clothes, I can just tell he was very fit under them. His hair was wavy and dark, currently messy and had a sharp jawline. He sat at one of the chairs Infront of the bar, while on his phone. I looked at the time, 11:40 PM. Not too late. I walked over to him and turned to my professional side. "Hello sir, what can I get you started with?" I ask. "a shot of tequila with a side of scotch" he says coldly. I nodded my head as I started his drink.
As I finished it up, I place the shot and scotch Infront of him. He doesn't look up at me or even thank me. Bitch.
"Anything else I can get..." "No". I stood there, wondering if I should tell him off or if I should just leave him alone. I decided to leave him alone, he's probably getting a divorce. As I walked back to my corner, I looked back up at the man. He had already taken his shot and was almost done with his drink. Damn, the divorce must've been very messy.
Before I could even get back on my phone, he called me back over. He orders the same thing over and repeatedly, until he couldn't even speak to order. It was currently 1 AM, which is closing time. As I started to pack up my stuff, I noticed the man still sitting there with his head down. I finish packing up my stuff before walking over to him. "Sir, it's time to go home" I say as I try to move him. He doesn't budge. I sigh at the sight, this man is too pretty to be acting like this.
Then an idea pops in my head. It was probably one of the worst ideas I've had in a while, but I felt like I was at a lost cause. I put the man's arm over my shoulder and try to walk him over to the door, problem is I didn't know how fucking big this guy was. He then finally wakes up and looks at me. "What the hell are you doing?" he slurred as he removed his arm away from me. "Sir, I'm taking you to your car" I say. "can't you see I'm too drunk to even fucking move" he says. He did have a point, but I had no other choice. "it's closing time, so you need to leave" I say. "Either I stay, or you drive me" he says. I look at him stunned by his words. There is no way he's being serious, but I think that is what I had to do. "Fine, just get up sir" I say. He groans as he gets up from the seat. I underestimated how big he was, if he falls on me, I'm dead. I tried my best to help him walk him to my car. As we got to it, I placed him into the passenger seat. As I walked over to the driver's side, I prayed that he wouldn't throw up.
I got inside the driver seat, and we were off, expect I didn't know where I was going. "Where do you live" I ask him. "Las Vegas" he says. Oh, so he's not from around here, understandable. "Do you currently stay at a hotel?" I ask. "mhm" he says in a low tone. I then spotted his phone in his pocket. And before I knew it, I reached over and grabbed it. "what's your passcode to your phone" I ask. "906533" he says. I put in the code and went to his call log. All I saw was 'Jade, Kai, and Manger'.
I click the first thing I see and quickly call them. And luckily it didn't take long for them to pick up. "Zryan, where the hell are you?!" the old man yelled. "Excuse me sir, I'm here with him. I was the bartender at the bar he was at, and he is too drunk to drive so I just need to know where he is staying at so I can drop him off" I say. The old man deeply sighs over the phone. "he's staying at the Whitlock hotel. Just bring him to the drop off section and I'll take care of him" he says. I agreed to meet him there. As I hung up the phone, I placed it back into the stranger's pocket.
I then started my drive to Whitlock. That was the most exclusive hotel in the city, so I'm shocked that I'm going to see it up close. As I drove there, he started mumbling random words. "Fuck...Jade....No.."
Oh the wife's name is Jade. Did he divorce her? I'm so confused.
As I pulled in the hotel, I will say this place is way fancier than I thought. This is where my sister is probably going to stay at. I pulled in the drop off section to see a middle-aged man who had on a t-shirt and shorts with flip flops on. I stopped at the entrance and got out of my car to help carry him in. As we got him out the car, the security team took him the rest of the way. "Thank you so much for taking him here. His car is still at the bar, correct?" the middle-aged man says. I nodded my head in response. "Alright well, we'll pick it up tomorrow then" he says. "Well, I should probably get going now" I say. Before I could walk off, the man stops me. "As a thank you for tonight, we would like for you to bartend an event we're having. And yes, you will be paid" he says. I was stunned by the sudden offer. But I wasn't about to drop it. "Oh well, when is the event" I ask. "On Monday night, it'll be at 6:30PM all the way to 12AM" he says. A perfect and actual true excuse to get away from my sister? Count me in.
"I would love too" I say. The old man smiles as he pulls out his phone so I could get his contact information.
I couldn't believe I was invited to bartend an event that wasn't a birthday or a hotel party.
Money here I come!
