"Do you think that if I already have a degree, but with all my knowledge missing for about ten years, does that mean I should give up my diploma? I mean, the paper is almost useless without my knowledge, right?"
Normal Yunho was also quite talkative; Mingi didn’t know that teenage Yunho was even more talkative than what he was used to.
"We'll work on getting you back to normal. Indah is developing a new machine to reverse the effects on you."
"Indah is a cell regeneration expert from Malaysia, right?" Yunho changed the topic.
Mingi slowed the car, glancing slightly at Yunho, who was sitting cross-legged with his seatbelt around him. The seat next to him seemed larger than usual when Yunho was occupying it.
"Actually, Indonesia."
"Ah, right. This research team sounds like a multinational idol group, really." Ah, one more thing Mingi just realized about teenage Yunho. He was obsessed with K-pop, especially girl groups. What Yunho described sounded like something a straight guy would do, and then he made a disgusted face before explaining that he liked their colorful concepts and beautiful dances. Then he admitted that he spent hours memorizing Girls' Generation choreography instead of studying.
Mingi quoted the next line, "Like, I'm so gaaaaay, that I bought some pink pants to match my white tee."
Adult Yunho had never shared such anecdotes with Mingi.
They were almost at the apartment building when Mingi’s phone rang. Checking briefly, he saw Choi Jongho’s contact name and remembered that he had a meeting later that evening with Jongho and some representatives from the funding board.
"Jongho? Sounds like an important person," Yunho said, repeating the name several times, as if savoring it.
"Yes, he’s a representative from the funding board. I’m supposed to have a meeting with him this evening. So, I guess I’ll drop you off at home, then head out for the meeting—" Mingi stopped his sentence when he saw Yunho bow his head, clearly upset.
"Or I could call Jongho and ask to reschedule the meeting."
Yunho’s eyes lit up immediately.
Jung Yunho, his lover, was also very expressive about his feelings.
But teenage Jung Yunho was on another level of honest expression.
And honestly, Mingi wouldn’t mind canceling hundreds of meetings if that kind of sparkle was what Yunho offered him.
