Dakari got off of the train that he rode from D.C. to Houston. Practice and training sessions have been keeping him so busy. The team is a good group of skilled players and a few skilled walk-ons. Dakari and his roommate Shiloh get along great, Shiloh is on the football team. They do everything together like going to the gym Shiloh taught him how to bulk and build more muscle so he's no longer a walking cinnamon stick.
The young man didn't tell anyone he was coming home for the next three days. It's Friday and he caught the train Thursday afternoon to get to Houston this morning.
"Home sweet home" Dakari sighed walking into the station with one of his many backpacks on he didn't bring much just a change of clothes his travel hygiene bag, and all of his electronics.
During the train ride, he looked up Ubers from here to his house the place he can't wait to return to. Dakari misses his car and truck and of course, his family and girlfriend but walking everywhere around an unknown city isn't his favorite thing to do so he bought an electric scooter just to get around campus quicker.
His Uber arrived shortly after he ordered it. He took off his backpack and opened the front seat door.
"Aye sir youn mind if I ride up here do you?" He asked already in the man's car
"Gone head young bull, you play pro basketball?" The Uber driver asked as Dakari checked to see if he was in the right car
"No sir not yet," Dakari said putting his bag between his legs
"Hold on this is my first day doing this shit you Dakari right?" The driver asked making the boy laugh
"Yeah that's me, you good" Dakari answered before texting his girlfriend back

After Dakari sent the message he immediately received a FaceTime call from his girlfriend he laughed shaking his head. They both know each other's schedule so he knows she's in class and he's supposed to be there as well.
"Wassup, my baby?" He asked as she stared into the camera
"Dakari you can't skip classes why are you riding around and who are you with?" And asked
