Weeks have passed since Dakari and Zoriana's fair date. Today is Halloween and Zoriana promised to take the twins trick or treating. They were excited, Damarion is going to be Red from Friday, and Dalen is going to be Buzz from Toy Story.
Dakari was just getting home from school, he and Zoriana have been on FaceTime since she left school. He made sure she ate and watched her nap. Since that night they've been okay, like he thought Zoriana took his hesitation as rejection. She tried to stop talking to the boy but he wouldn't let her because she is part of his daily routine. He made her talk to him and a few days later, they were back to normal.
"Baby?" Kari called her she looked at her phone screen pausing the movie Zebrahead on Tubi to give him her attention
"Tell me why you were mad?" He asked taking his long sleeve school shirt off
"I kinda felt rejected. Now I respect your self-control 'cause I lose mine when it's you." She said
"I wanna to be for you, so doing sneaky link things with you right now is going to cloud my end goal of being in a serious relationship" he explained
"You different so I wanna go about this a different way" he finished she just stared at him
"What you staring at?" He asked she broke her gaze with a big smile on her face
"You're soooo handsome," she said making him smile
"Thank you, pretty girl, so can I come over?" He asked putting his LSU hoodie on over his muscle shirt, he also took off his uniform pants leaving him in the yellow mesh shorts he went to bed in.
"Yes my dad is here so we probably can't come into my room" she pouted
"Oh I'm finna race his ass today" Dakari laughed, he held his phone while walking downstairs to the kitchen
"Mommy I'll be right back," he said while she stood over the sink washing some chicken
"Where are you going?" She asked
"Umm Zozo house," he said looking down at his phone screen taking a picture of Zoriana nervously biting her nail
"Tell my sweet baby I said hi, and I'll call y'all when the twins are ready," she said he hugged her before leaving the house
"Mom can Kari and I go up to my room since you and Dad are kissing in here?" Zoriana asked her parents making the boy laugh over the phone
"We grown, and you better keep that door wide open," Kormani said not wanting to leave his living room
"Thanks Daddy, Mom he's being so nice today what's that about?" She asked standing at the door opening it before Dakari could ring the doorbell
"You timed this boy walk to the house? He here all the time huh?" Kormani asked as Dakari entered the home
