Clementines POV:

I walked past the sidewalks of my lonely village. A village that was once a happy place. Somewhere nice to be. Remembering all the fun things that happened around here.

I went into the flower field. Picking out some flowers for my father for his birthday, since I didn't have any money to purchase him anything valuable.

I pick out some sunflowers and small roses which is all I could find that are blooming enough. I gather them and carry them in my hand.

It's cold and I need a sweater. My lips feel chapped and hurt. I needed something to make me feel warm.

"Dad?" I walk into my home that smelled of brunt cigarettes with a fresh scent of  candles burning.

"What is it?" He turns to me from reading his newspaper.

"I picked out some flowers for yo-"

"Thanks you can put them on the table," and went back to reading.

"Okay.!" I smiled and left them on the table.

I went upstairs to my room but I heard my mother crying in her room.

"Mom?" I peeked my head inside.

"Oh Clemmie.. I need you to do a favor for me," my mother hugged me in open arms. Feeling hee embrace and warmth made me feel better already. Feeling and playing with her long gold hair that was touching my face.

"Of course I would do anything!"  I say next to her.

"I-I need you to get these medicine..for your mommy.. go to the pharmacy please and tell them it's for your mother,"  she coughed.

"Oh! Okay I guess... what's wrong? Do you feel sick.?" I asked looking down at a note my mother gave me.

"Yes..but with that medicine I will feel just better. Don't worry everything will be just fine," I heard her yawn.

"Okay! I'll be back!" I walked out of her room trying not wanting her to make her feel even worse than she was before. I just figured she wanted some alone time.

I walked through the sidewalks trying to ignore that the cold air made me feel icky. I walked passed my village seeing people collecting their crops or getting water out of the well.

I walked passed a farm with all sorts of animals.

"Ah! Nice to see you again Clementine!" The farmer noticed me. I never knew their name and I never bothered asking since I thought it was rude knowing them for so long.

"Hello Mr! How are you animals?" I asked.

"Oh they're doing lovely. And you know what's also lovely?" They opened the gate.

"What else is?" I walked inside greeting the chickens with seeds.

"My lady goat finally gave birth to her baby! Can you believe it!" I saw them walk where the goats were.

"Oh my gosh really? Can I pretty please see them!" I walked along with them.

They passed me to a lady goat with her boyfriend I suppose. With 4 babies by their side.

"Oh my.. their like the sweetest things I've ever seen!"

"Ain't that the turth," the farmer chuckled, "that one is Clyde that small one next to the dad is Cecil. That one is Prune and that one sleeping is Kenny."

"Oh my their are so lovely," I admired all of them, especially Cecil who was away from the three being next to the father. I wonder what made it smaller than the rest.

"I shouldn't waste your time I have to get something for my mother since she's feeling under the weather!" I walked alway from the pen.

"Ah, well yes fall is coming soon, hope your mom feels better soon,"

"Well thank you and I will be sure to visit these precious ones other day," I smiled, "bye goat! "I waved to the goats and left through the open gate.

I walked to the small pharmacy which was the only one that was around here. I enter smelling like a fresh linen smell.

"Hello how could I help you?" The person at their desk greeted me.

"Hi.. I'm not sure what this is but my mother sent me to come get these for them,"  I gave them the note.

"Ah..yes you are Clementine.." they smiled at me as they looked at the shelves behind them.

"Yes I am!" I stood up straight, "may I ask what are those even for?"

The pharmacist looked upset, "they treat people who feel bad and it helps them feel better!"

"Ooh! Well alright!" They placed a bottle of pills on the counter and took the money that was on the note.

"Have a good day." They told me.

"You too!" I replied.
