Me and Kingsley chatted as we walked towards the river to meet Clementine. I was a bit nervous and happy at the same time. I didn't know how they would react to meeting Kingsley.

I felt a sort of regret. Maybe I should've gave them a heads up. Letting them know that their going to meet someone else other than me.

I know how Kingsley can get though. Hating to get a no for an answer.

I couldn't bare to say no. Maybe Clementine would be okay with maybe one of my friends at first. Hopefully.

Hopefully their okay with them. Then soon they can meet Perrine. And then we can all hang out and become a group! Maybe it will turn out fine. I just need to look on the bright side like how I never do as Perrine says.

Thinking about Perrine..I should've woken them up to let them know where I was going. What if they wake up terrified? They may wake up scared to death not knowing where their friends went.

Gosh I should've told them something. But right now I should not let my thoughts take over me.

"Where are they?" Kingsley yawned.

"They're on the other side of the river like I said." I replied.

"How much longer!" Kingsley whined.

"We are almost there stop complaining!" I joked.

"Do you think their excited to see me?" Kingsley smiled.

"I hope so..I'm pretty sure they will though I have told them stories about us hanging out and they find you funny and bright." I talked as I walked.

"Oh really! Oh boy I can't wait to say hi! After all these weeks you have talked about them I'm super excited," Kingsley shivered from the slightly cold air.

Perrine's POV:

I woke up with a strange headache on the side of my temple. I felt warm but cold at the same time. Something gave me shivers down my spine. Making me feel sick.

I sat up and seeing no one beside me. Where did Cole go? And where did Kingsley go?

I immediately thought of Cole going back to that Clementine person again. And knowing how Kingsley is, they may have followed them..

"Where could they have gone.." I whispered to myself as I stood up holding my hand up to my head for my headache.

I walked back to the village as I brushed off some grass off of my clothes. I felt itchy. Something was wrong. I had to find my friends. Being lonely in the dark just felt horrid to think about. I shivered and paced my walking to go find them. In the forest.

Thinking about what they're doing down there. I hope that it isn't about Clementine.

Kingsley's POV:

Something was wrong. Something was definitely wrong. But you have to act happy and surprised because no one wants their friend to let them know their going crazy. Or whatever Perrine was blabbing about.

Cole wasn't crazy. Their just lonely. I say. Perrine won't believe me. They say Cole needs to see someone.

I can't wait to actually know what this Clementine person had going on with Cole. Who are they? Where did they come from? Why wont they cross the river? Why are they so scared to meet me?

Thoughts scattered my brain as we walked their the forest leaving the village whole. I thought about Perrine about what they said about this before. Hopefully they weren't right. If that was the case then I am running away.

Well! All I can do is just walk with Cole until we reach the river. Maybe they are just shy..maybe they just want friends but don't know how to say it. I can help them get over that fear!

"How much longer now!" I turned to Cole.

"Just a few more steps.." Cole sighed.

"Well alright then!"

Cole's POV:

I felt like something was going to happen something that I wouldn't like. But I brushed it off and didn't think of anything.

"Okay...now I want you to be silent.. I'm going to go see if their here and then tell you to come out." I whispered to Kingsley.

"Okay..!" They whispered yell.

"Shhh!" I shushed them.

"Sorry!" They whispered as they sat behind a bush.

I hopped on the rocks on the river and went to the other side looking Clementine.

"Clementine.?" I said aloud.

I saw something in a bush move. I smiled.

"Clementine!" I walked behind the bush to see a person with a goat mask on.

"Hi Cole! I thought you were leaving for the night.. so I was working on your mask!" Clementine giggled.

"My mask?" I said.

"Yeah! It's like a bunny..a hare if you perhaps." They smiled at me.

I looked down at their hands seeing a mask big enough to cover half of the size of my head being the shape of a hare. I smiled at the gift and decided to let them finish it.

"I-I have a question to ask you.." I fidgeted.

"Ask away," they kept looking down at my mask.

"Well... you know how I keep asking about you meeting Kingsley or Perrine one day?"

"..yes?"

"What if you met one of them right now!" I exclaimed.

"What do you mean..?" They froze.

I felt my heart beat, "Kingsley you can come out now,"

I saw my friend pop out of the bush walking towards this side of the river. I held Clementines hand as I felt them shiver.

"W- I don't- you never told me that I was going to be meeting one of your friends right now." Clementine stuttered.

"I know I'm sorry but I just couldn't say no to them they really want to meet you really bad.." I apologized.

Kingsley came up to us.

"Hey! Wh-" Kingsley got cut off by a familiar voice.

"Kingsley!" Perrine appeared running towards us.

I felt Clementine tug on my hand as a sign that they wanted to go, feeling overwhelmed. But I couldn't let go. So I didn't.

"Perrine?" Kingsley looked back.

"Oh..Perrine.." I gulped knowing something bad was going to happen. I looked back at Clementine. Having their goat mask back on holding onto my hand not letting go.

As much as I loved Perrine I didn't want them here in this moment. Not to scare Clementine off again. Just as they were about to meet Kingsley.
