The New Student's Dilemma"

Isolde settled into her new dorm, enjoying her room but wondering why she didn't have a roommate. Curious, she decided to explore the campus. As she walked downstairs, she saw the students again and admired their beauty. However, her concern for Paxton lingered, and she thought, "I hope he didn't get lost. I'll start looking for him."
Isolde took off running across the hallway, drawing attention from the students, who whispered, "Weirdo." Undeterred, she continued her search until she collided with a formal-dressed girl, and they both fell.
Apologetic, Isolde quickly got up, but the girl pushed her back, saying, "Watch where you're going, creep! What's your hurry?" Isolde apologized again, and the girl snapped, "Shut up! Where are you going?"
Just then, a man appeared behind the girl, intervening, "Hold off, Regina. She's a newbie."
Christopher introduced himself, "I'm Christopher, and this is Regina. And you are...?" Isolde looked up at him, thinking he was handsome, and introduced herself.
Regina gazed at Isolde with disgust, saying,
"Wow, I've never seen anyone like you before. Who brought you here?"
Isolde proudly replied, "My mom and dad, and I have an adopted brother, Paxton Nakamura." Regina's eyes widened, and she thought to herself, "Paxton goes here?" Christopher's eyes also widened, and he asked, "Paxton Nakamura? We're old friends of his." He chuckled, and Regina's eyes lit up with a smile.
Isolde asked, "Do you know him?" Regina responded, "Why do you care?" Isolde explained, "We lived together, and I want to make sure he's safe." Christopher said,
"Well, we're old friends of his," but when Isolde asked if they knew where Paxton was, Christopher replied, "I don't know. Christopher laughed, and Regina turned to him, saying, "You find this pathetic girl funny?" Isolde looked at Regina and said, "Wow, you're very pretty." Regina was taken aback, and with a condescending tone, replied, "Well, thank you, but you can never be like me." Isolde responded, "That's what Paxton said." Regina smiled, seemingly pleased with herself. Just then, a voice called out from down the hall, "Isolde!" It was Maddie. Isolde excitedly said, "Hiii Maddie!" and ran to hug her. Maddie pushed Isolde off, looking stressed, and asked, "What are you doing here?" Isolde replied, "I was looking for Paxton." Maddie appeared frazzled and said, "You're like a little kid; why didn't you just stay in your dorm?"Regina turned to Maddie and said, "I'm surprised you can still talk about our battle last year." Maddie retorted, "I don't care about that; you bloodsuckers are boring anyway." Isolde looked concerned and asked, "Bloodsuckers?" Regina laughed at Isolde, saying, "Wow, is she dumb? She doesn't know us."Suddenly, Regina stopped talking as she felt a touch on her stomach. She turned around to see Paxton standing there, and her expression changed to a warm smile. "Paxton, hi! It's been so long!" she exclaimed.Paxton gazed at Regina, saying, "I know it's been a minute." Christopher chimed in, "Oh, hey Paxton! It's been so long! How have you been?" Paxton replied, "I've been okay," but his tone indicated he wasn't interested in reconnecting with Regina or Christopher.Isolde intervened, "Paxton, I've been looking for you!" Paxton asked, "Why?" Isolde explained, "Because I'm worried about you." Paxton dismissively replied, "Well, don't be, loser." Regina laughed, finding it amusing.Maddie stepped in, "Let's go, Isolde. Back to your dorm." Isolde nodded and followed Maddie, waving goodbye to Paxton, Regina, and Christopher. Christopher commented, "Wow, she's very interesting." Regina smiled, "You find that interesting?" Paxton warned, "Keep your mouths shut around Isolde. She doesn't know us yet, and I don't want that weirdo knowing anything." Regina chuckled, "We have to go to class," and the two walked off, leaving Paxton and Isolde's encounter lingering.
