The next morning, Isolde woke up to find a uniform lying next to her bed. At first, she thought the previous day's events had been just a dream, but the stark reality quickly set in. She hurriedly got ready and finished packing her belongings. Just as she was about to leave, Ana knocked on the door and entered without waiting for a response.
"Come on, Isolde, hurry up!" Ana urged, her tone firm and commanding.
Isolde felt a surge of frustration and turned to her mother. "Why are you always so mean to me, Mom?"
Ana's expression turned cold, and she snatched the book from Isolde's hand. In a shocking move, she burned the book in front of Isolde, who let out a horrified scream.
"Why?!" Isolde cried, tears welling up in her eyes.
Ana's gaze was icy, and her voice was laced with malice. "You'll find out soon enough." With that, she turned and left the room, leaving Isolde in a state of shock and despair.
Across the room, Paxton watched the scene unfold, a mix of amusement and guilt flickering across his face.
After the tense encounter, Denzel instructed everyone to get in the car. Isolde found herself sitting next to Paxton, who seemed less than thrilled about it. As they drove, Denzel asked Paxton if he was ready for school, and Paxton responded with a dismissive "I don't care." Denzel then turned to Isolde and asked if she was ready, but she remained silent, engrossed in her book about fairies.
Denzel suddenly slammed on the brakes, causing the car to jolt to a stop. "Why aren't you talking?!" he yelled, his voice stern and commanding. Isolde stuttered an apology, but Denzel cut her off, telling her to hush. Ana intervened, urging Denzel to calm down and warning Isolde that she would "learn the hard way."
Isolde looked at her mother with concern, then closed her eyes, feeling overwhelmed. Two hours passed, and when Isolde opened her eyes again, she found herself in front of a massive school building. Her eyes widened in awe, and she exclaimed, "Wow, this is a big school, just like in my stories!"
Paxton, however, seemed unimpressed, and his irritation with Isolde's antics was evident. "Wow, you're so weird," he muttered as they stepped out of the car and into the parking lot. As Paxton gathered his belongings from the trunk, Ana and Denzel began tossing Isolde's things onto the ground, leaving her to scramble and collect her scattered belongings.
Isolde hastily gathered her belongings, her eyes fixed on the imposing school building. As she finished, Ana and Denzel bid Paxton and Isolde farewell, saying, "Be safe and have fun." Ana added a parting shot, directed at Isolde, "And for you, I hope you have fun and suffer." Isolde waved goodbye, but her expression was tinged with sadness. Paxton chuckled, but his eyes held a hint of sympathy as he said, "Well, let's go. We need to find the principal's office."
As they walked, Isolde marveled at the school's grandeur, her gaze wandering over the students milling about on campus. She turned to Paxton and exclaimed, "They all look so beautiful!" Paxton laughed, but his response was laced with a hint of cruelty, "They are, but you'll never be like these pretty females." He quickened his pace, leaving Isolde to follow, her face set in determination. She stuck out her tongue, a small act of defiance, as she trailed behind him.
Meanwhile, a girl named Regina sensed something amiss. "Do you feel that?" she asked, turning to Christopher . He nodded, his eyes scanning the area before settling on Isolde. "It's coming from her," he said, his voice low and mysterious.
