Meanwhile, when Maddie took Isolde to her dorm, Maddie looked angry. Isolde turned around and said, "Wow, Regina and Christopher are very cool." Maddie said, "Why do you care about them so much? You're just an airhead." Isolde didn't look concerned but asked Maddie, "What are bloodsuckers?" Maddie looked at Isolde and said, "Wow, you're weird. They're vampires." Isolde's face smiled, and she said, "Vampires? Really?" Maddie said, "You act like you've never seen vampires before." Isolde said, "Yeah, they're in my storybook. Let me show you my book." Maddie said, "I don't care about your book," but Isolde showed her anyway and said, "Look at it. Aren't they cool?" Maddie looked at the vampire book but seemed uninterested. However, she looked concerned about the other book and said, "What's that book?" Isolde said, "This book is about fairies. I love fairies, but I prefer vampires. They're so cool." Maddie looked at Isolde and dropped her book, saying, "What city did you come from, and why do you care about these hideous beings so much?" Isolde said, "I like vampires."
Maddie then shoved Isolde to the floor, leaving her speechless. Maddie said, "I hate people like you. You humans are pathetic and actually care about their being. Isolde, vampires are real, and they can kill you without hesitation. And you, of all people, care for them. Why are you even at this school? You look human to me, but for some reason, you smell different. Why are you here, you weak, pathetic human?" Isolde's face saddened with concern as Maddie's words hit her. Isolde apologized, saying, "I'm sorry." Maddie yelled, "Stop saying sorry and stand up for yourself, geez!" Maddie got off the floor and left the dorm, slamming the door behind her. Isolde got up, her legs shaking with fear and concern about Maddie's words. She said, "I always believed vampires were real, but she's being serious about them being cruel."
Isolde heard a knock at the door and opened it to find Winston. He said, "Hey, Isolde. I feel some tension in this room. Are you okay?" Isolde said, "Yeah, I'm okay." Winston said, "Good. Well, here's your schedule. You start class tomorrow." Isolde said, "Thank you." Winston said, "You're welcome," and added, "Please be careful, okay?" before leaving. Isolde smiled and thanked him.
Meanwhile, Paxton was walking with Regina and Christopher. Regina said, "Hey, Paxton, how's human life doing?" Paxton said, "Same, I hate it." He laughed. Christopher said, "Well, I know living with that girl is a pain, huh?" Paxton said, "You have no idea." Regina chimed in, "Well, she's the ugliest human I've ever seen, but hey, guys, want to go somewhere fun?" She smirked. Christopher said, "Oh, I know what you mean. Let's go get some fresh blood." Paxton said, "I don't know." Regina said, "Oh, no, he's turning human again." Christopher and Regina laughed. Paxton said, "Okay, fine. I'll do it."
Isolde stayed in her room the whole night, reading her book and forgetting about Maddie's words. She enjoyed her book, but eventually, her stomach growled, and she said, "I'm hungry." She got up and tried to find a cafe. As she walked down the hallway, she heard screaming coming from the entry hall to the cafe. Isolde ran down the stairs as fast as she could and screamed, "Hello? Where are you?" As she got closer to the sound, a mysterious man appeared and said, "What are you doing here, girl?" Isolde said, "Hi, my name is Isolde, and I heard a scream. I was trying to help." The man said, "Well, you're too late. It's already over." Isolde said, "Over?" Then the man grabbed Isolde and pushed her into a room, and she screamed.
Paxton was lying on his bed, feeling something was off. He heard Isolde scream and got up, questioning himself, "Why do I care what happens to her? I hate her " But Paxton resisted and decided to go find her.
