Arrival and Tensions

Isolde and Paxton finally made their way to the principal's office. Paxton introduced himself, but Isolde remained silent. Mr. Lawson, the principal, greeted them warmly.

"Hello, welcome to our school. I'm Mr. Lawson," he said.

Paxton spoke up, "I don't care about your name, just get to the point."

Isolde hit Paxton's arm, "Hey, be nice!"

Paxton glared at her, "Don't touch me again, or you'll regret it."

Mr. Lawson looked at Isolde, "I've never seen you around here before. Are you new?"

Isolde looked confused, "Yes, this is my new school. I'm a big deal, you know."

Paxton gave Mr. Lawson a warning look, and he quickly changed the subject. "Well, I'm glad to have you both here. Let me just get your paperwork."

When Mr. Lawson left, Paxton got up and said, "I'll be right back."

Isolde asked, "Why?"

But Paxton ignored her and left the room. Mr. Lawson returned with a concerned look on his face.

"Paxton, what are you doing? What's going on?" he asked, but Paxton slammed his hand on the desk.

"Don't worry about it, just put her in the other class and don't bother with the paperwork," Paxton growled.

Mr. Lawson looked worried but nodded. Paxton left, leaving Isolde alone in the office.

When Paxton returned, Isolde jumped, "You scared me!"

Paxton smirked, "You're weird."

Mr. Lawson returned, "Never mind the paperwork, I'll have someone take you to your dorms."

Paxton smiled, "Okay."

Isolde asked, "But what about the paperwork?"

Paxton pulled her hair, "Shut up, you're always talking."

Mr. Lawson looked on but didn't intervene. Just then, two students walked in. Mr. Lawson introduced them as Maddie and winston

Isolde eagerly shook Maddie's hand, "Nice to meet you!"

Maddie pulled her hand away, "Please don't touch me."

Isolde apologized, but Winston just shrugged, "Don't mind her, she doesn't have friends."

Maddie and Isolde went to the left hallway, while Winston and Paxton went to the right. Isolde asked Maddie, "Why are the boys going a different way?"

Maddie ignored her, and Isolde asked again. Maddie finally replied, "Sheesh, do you ever be quiet?"

Isolde apologized again, and they arrived at her dorm room. Maddie said, "Here's your room. Goodbye."

Isolde thanked her, but Maddie was already gone.
