We followed Lila to a warehouse and watched her break in. Five followed her, and I trailed behind him, a little nervous to walk inside. I waited until he got into his altercation with the woman before sneaking in, sighing in relief when I didn't see The Handler.

"Fancy seeing you here."

Spoke too soon. I thought with a grimace as I turned to face the woman, who was wearing a gold-colored coat lined with fur. Her hair was brown, resembling my own hair a little too much, and she was smoking, a devious look in her eyes.

"Heyyy..." I greeted awkwardly, giving her a strained smile.

She rolled her eyes and grabbed my face, making me wince at the lingering bruise I had on my cheek. "Mmm, those triplets did a number on your pretty little face, dear." She said in mock concern.

I huffed and pulled away from her. "Yeah, well, they have years of training under their belt. I have a few weeks of running around and accidentally surviving." I admitted, rubbing my cheek.

The Handler hummed with a growing smirk as she turned me around, leading me further into the building. "Well, I'd say that your friends have been protecting you pretty well. Especially your little killer." She said while wrapping an arm around my shoulders.

I tensed under her touch and stayed quiet at her words, forcing her to giggle crazily. "I'm just pulling your leg, dear. Relax, I won't kill you just yet. You still prove useful to me, y'know." She spoke lightly, as though her words were going to reassure me.

She really is crazy.

We soon walked up on Five pressing his foot into Lila's neck, her smirk widening at the sight. My breath hitched as she tightened her hold on me, a knife being revealed from underneath her sleeve. She pressed it against my neck, still giggling quietly.

"It's just a ruse, dear. You'll see."

Five then called her out, obviously having known that she was here. However, a second pair of footsteps following hers made his shoulders tense.

"Well done...I have just one question for you: did you miss me, you little shit?"

His green eyes raised to glare at her, but they landed on me with a knife to my neck. "Hey, what are you doing?!" He hissed, gesturing to me.

She tightened her grip for a moment. "You've got one of mine, I've got one of yours. Seems fair to me."

He sighed in defeat and took his foot off of Lila's neck, allowing her to get up as he held a hand out to me. "Okay, fine. Now, hand her over." He demanded, making the woman scoff.

"Little Shay doesn't belong to anyone. Do you, dear?" She asked me expectantly, pouting.

I gritted my teeth and looked back and forth between Five and The Handler. "What answer will get the knife away from my neck?" I retorted, glaring at the woman.

She laughed wickedly and released her hold on me, shoving me towards the green-eyed boy who pulled me behind me. "Your little boyfriend has a good nose, y'know?" She asked in a rhetorical manner while standing beside her seething daughter.

Five scoffed and gripped my wrist tightly. "You planted her in an asylum and took advantage of my simpleton brother. It was smart, but it had you written all over it."

She took a drag of her cigarette before huffing it off to the side. "Well, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree." She mused while placing a hand on Lila's shoulder.

"She's your-"

"Daughter, yeah. My one and only."

The woman in question leaned forward, her eyes solely trained on Five. "I'm going to enjoy killing you someday." She muttered angrily, only making the boy smirk.
