I hadn't realized how late I slept until I was being shaken awake by Five, who held out a coffee cup for me. I smiled at the continuous gesture before sitting up, rubbing the sleep out of my eyes. "What did I miss?" I asked curiously, glancing over to Lila and Diego sitting together on the couch.
The green-eyed boy huffed and sat on the arm of my chair. "I talked to Vanya, watched Luther get his ass handed to him, and got disregarded by both. I'm sure you know the rest." I bit my lip, raking my memory before I nodded in confirmation.
"Vanya lost her memory, Luther was all emotional about Allison and told Vanya about her causing the apocalypse." I summarized, making Five sigh.
"Pretty much."
Diego scoffed from his spot on the couch. "So you just let her go?"
The boy stood up and grabbed his own cup of coffee while he paced around the room. "She had a lot to process. She'll come around. I know she will." He muttered the last part, seemingly trying to convince himself along with the rest of us.
"What about those Swedish triplets? Aren't those assholes still after y'all?" I asked rhetorically.
"Yeah. We don't know if they'll come back."
Lila hummed, taking a sip of her coffee. "Any idea who sent them?"
Five smiled sarcastically. "Oh, I have my suspicions."
Diego looked at me with a raised eyebrow. "Well, don't you know?"
I sighed with an eye roll. "You know the drill, Diego. I can't say anything or it could fuck things up. You know this."
Five cut in, sitting back down on the arm of my chair. "That's not important. We need to focus on finding Dad and getting answers."
"For the record, I found him alrea-"
"You let him go before you could talk to him like an adult, though." I pointed out, pulling my knees to my chest as I looked pointedly at my Latino friend.
"He stabbed me." Diego deadpanned.
"I'm surprised he waited this long, Diego. We've all had the urge." Five and I spoke in unison, earning a crazed smile from the British woman.
"I swear you two are psychic." She mumbled, leaning towards us.
I shrugged my shoulders with an amused smirk before taking another sip of my coffee. I then remembered the invitation that Five took the night before and reached into his pocket, fishing it out. "Oh, yeah. This is where your dad will be tonight." I unfolded the piece of paper and placed it on the table. Before any questions could be asked, I spoke up again. "Basically, there's this weird group that controls the government called the Majestic Twelve, and your dad is part of them because only eleven have been identified."
Everyone looked at me with varying levels of confusion or intrigue. "What? The world is ending in basically a week, we might as well speed up some of the lesser important things." I said with a shrug.
Lila smirked at me and clapped her hands, standing up before she hauled me to my feet. "Well, that just means we get to go shopping, little darling." I smiled at the woman before the overlapping protests of Diego and Five erupted.
"Wait, hold on a second-"
"You're not taking her anywhere-"
"What do you mean shopping-"
"Don't lay your hands on her, bit-"
I rolled my eyes and walked over to Diego, shocking him on the shoulder to shut him up. I then moved to Five, a raised eyebrow. "You done complaining?" I asked expectantly, making the green-eyed boy sigh in defeat.
