As soon as the press conference was over, Ga On knew he had to go to Yo Han and confront him, because he was just too conflicted at this point. He didn't know what to think of the older man anymore, didn't know what to believe.

And when he came to Yo Han's office, he locked the door right away, walking over to his Chief who was peacefully making a cup of coffee for himself.

"You were the one who kidnapped Jang Ki Young, weren't you?" He asked for confirmation, though he already knew the answer. He already figured out that Yo Han paid the witness and kidnapped him so that Soo Hyun wouldn't go and talk to him. He's trying to believe that Yo Han wasn't the one who attacked Soo Hyun though.

"I needed to have a chat with him," Yo Han shrugged.

Ga On huffed in annoyance. "And what exactly was that about? Did you need to talk to him so that your stories were similar? Did you need to plan a strategy to con the whole country with him?" He asked, not believing that Yo Han actually admitted it so easily.

"Well I wouldn't put it like that," Yo Han squinted at him and went to sit with his coffee.

"Then what was it like?" Ga On frowned at him, clearly still very angry.

"Do you have to be so judgmental?" Yo Han huffed in annoyance. "What is your problem here exactly?"

"My problem is that you bribed the witness!" Ga On exclaimed, not really caring if anyone would hear them. "I don't care if it was because you pitied him or—"

"I did pity him," Yo Han shrugged. "Couldn't it be about that? I felt sorry for the man so I chose to give him some money, simple as that."

"Is that really what happened? Is that all it was?" Ga On asked, needing to know.

"Let's leave it at that, Kim Ga On," Yo Han said in warning.

So it wasn't about that at all.

"So you didn't bribe the witness just as you didn't attack Soo Hyun?" He asked then, curious what Yo Han would have to say about that.

The man squinted at him. "I'm sure you know that's different," he spoke.

"So you didn't attack her," Ga On stated.

"I'm glad you believe me now," Yo Han chuckled. "It's good to know you don't think I'd be capable of doing something like that."

"Oh I know you're capable of doing something like that, that's why I had my doubts," Ga On pointed out. As much as he wanted to believe in the good that was inside this man, he knows he's ruthless. The difference is that Soo Hyun didn't piss him off enough just yet for him to act on it. Ga On is afraid to see what might happen if his best friend actually does something seriously big to offend the man. "You just didn't have the need to do that," he added.

"The need?" Yo Han asked, curiosity all over his face. He raised one sharp eyebrow in question, looking straight at Ga On.

"Yes," Ga On nodded. "It was pointless to deal with Soo Hyun, you didn't need to include her in whatever you were doing."

"Since you're so smart, why did you lose your shit and punched me that day?" Yo Han asked, looking at the younger man quite amused, scanning Ga On's whole body, having a good look at him from where he was sitting.

"Says the man who almost killed me for taking Elijah out for coffee," Ga On bit back, thinking that they were basically both in the wrong. None of them should have reacted the way they did.

They were just both very protective about the people they considered family. Ga On thought it was actually a good thing.

"I guess we're even now, aren't we?" Yo Han smiled at him coyly.
