Since he already basically knew everything, Ga On asked the nanny for the keys to that one door that was locked upstairs, the one he saw her enter one time.
It all may have been too much for him, but he preferred to just get it all out in the open and know about all the secrets this house had, so he needed to prepare himself for whatever was waiting for him at the other end of the door.
It wasn't anything special though.
The room must have been Kang Isaac's old bedroom with everything covered, put away. The only thing that was out in the open here was a framed photograph of the man with his family. He noticed that Elijah was very little then, it must have been taken more than ten years ago.
So, Elijah was Kang Isaac's daughter. That is why she was offended by his face, he basically looked like her father.
That was disturbing. She must have felt awful when she saw him. An adult could take it, but a teenage girl who lost her parents? Seeing Ga On had to have been painful, that's why she automatically hated him.
Ga On can't blame her for that.
Just like he can't blame her for barging into her father's room and screaming for dear life, yelling at him to get out of here.
Ga On felt like an intruder, he needed to get out of this house right now. He didn't belong here. He looked like someone they've lost, he shouldn't be here. Whatever his Chief's motivation for bringing him here was, it wasn't right. Ga On not only felt uncomfortable, he felt like a fraud. He shouldn't walk around this house upsetting Elijah, he shouldn't make Ms. Ji look at him with nostalgia.
Most of all, he knows he shouldn't have indulged in Kang Yo Han's interest in him. It was so, so wrong.
Ga On almost feels like he committed a crime or something.
He doesn't belong here, damn it.
So when he ran out of that room, he headed downstairs, not really knowing what to do with himself. He just wandered around the house, not wanting to intrude on Elijah in any way.
Somehow he found himself in the kitchen and met Kang Yo Han there, eating dinner quietly, like nothing has happened.
But Ga On, he was shaken to the core by what happened today and he couldn't live like that, he needed answers.
But firstly, looking at the man eating his dinner alone, he felt kind of sad. It seemed like this family wasn't functional at all, seeing how much they've been through. It looked like Kang Yo Han didn't really have anyone, just like little Elijah, who clearly hated her uncle with passion.
"Why did you bring me here?" Ga On decided to ask, wanting to talk about it as soon as possible, not wanting to feel this awkwardness ever again.
"Excuse me?" His Chief raised his head to look at him, confused.
"Did you bring me to your house because I look like your brother?" Ga On asked, very much upset.
He noticed Kang Yo Han put down his chopsticks and sigh heavily.
"Did you hire me because I look like your brother?" Ga On asked another question, suddenly needing to know all of it, everything about his intentions.
"Kim Ga On—" The man spoke, but Ga On had one more thing to ask.
"Did you kiss me because I look like your brother?"
He wasn't sure he wanted to know the answer to that question, but he just needed to know.
"Kim Ga On," Kang Yo Han said in a warning tone, suddenly standing up from his seat. "Don't cross the line."
"What line?!" Ga On asked him, feeling ridiculous. "You already—"
