He was looking at me, as if he was impressed.  “Good job.  You worked it out.  You’re smarter than we expected.”

“Well there goes my cover… and incredibly ingenious plan.”  I said calmly though I was panicking.   “Who’s ‘we’?” I asked.  I had to find out as much as I could.

But he didn’t answer.  Instead, he smirked and said, “Oh no, I won’t be telling you.  Let’s see you figure it out.”

I poked him.  “Doesn’t feel like plastic… Probably not the Nestene Consciousness.”  Before I could continue, the Not-Doctor grimaced.

“No.  We would not associate ourselves with that dreadful ‘race’.”  He practically spat.

“Alright, alright.  Not Nestene…” I thought back.  I couldn’t think of anything that could CREATE a copy of someone.  So if it wasn’t a copy…

“Shape shifter?” I asked hesitantly.

The Not-Doctor smiled evilly.   “Of a sort.”

I frowned.  I thought a bit more.  When I realised what the Not-Doctor was, I gasped and took a step back.

“Krillitane?” I said.

Not-Doctor’s grin widened.  “Very smart.  It would do us well to have some one like you with us.”

I glared and backed away from him, pushing Amy and Rory behind me.  “I’m not EVER going to join you.  The whole thing is just ridiculous in the first place!  I mean seriously; Me, join you?  Now that I’ve found the Doctor, the real Doctor, not this abomination I see before me, my life is set.  Like, seriously, asking me to join you is like asking the Doctor to join the Daleks.  STUPID!”  I would’ve continued my rant but a loud cough from behind me made me turn around.

Amy was glaring at me.

“Where’s the REAL Doctor?” I snapped at the Not-Doctor/Krillitane-Doctor.

Not-Doctor/Krillitane-Doctor’s grin vanished.  He glared.  “If you really want me to tell you, then you’ll have to follow me!”  He cackled and ran to the door.  When he reached it, his form began to shimmer and he changed… to his ‘normal’ form.

I heard Amy and Rory gasp behind me.

The Krillitane snickered and jumped out of the door.

The silence was broken a few seconds later by Rory, who said, “WHAT. Was that?!”

“Never mind what it was!” Yelled Amy.  “Now we’ll never find the Doctor!”

I grinned.  “You think?  Maybe we will if I just… y’know… use the tracking device I put on that Krillitane before he ran off?  That sound good to you guys?”

They beamed at me.

I leapt around the console, explaining what the Krillitanes were as I did.

"There like... scavengers, I suppose.  They hunt down and kill civilisations and then they take the best bits of those people and add them to their own DNA.  The thing is though, there’s a Krillitane oil that they have, but since they change so much, the oil is toxic to them!  So if we could just get some of that…"

“Will they really keep it with them?  If it’s toxic to them, why do they have it?  Are they really that thick?”  Asked Amy, confused.

“They’ll probably have it… I don’t know.  Maybe they are stupid… but they don’t notice.  The oil’s probably hidden away somewhere, so--  AH! We’ve landed.  And quietly too.”

And so, we approached the doors, scared.  I put my hand on it, pushed it open, and we stepped out.

Into the unknown.
