After Victoria's final outburst, the mother-daughter duo didn't speak again. In fact, Victoria avoided her mother at all costs. But that didn't mean that things were bad, in fact, things were going well. Victoria's job gave her a promotion and she was currently nesting in the house. Victoria was incredibly happy, happier than she had ever been in her whole life.

The phone was ringing, it wasn't abnormal that Rory called. Victoria and Rory talked every other day, calling for an hour just to catch up and talk— like sister do. "Rory!" Victoria said happily as she ate the apples with peanut butter she had prepared for herself earlier.

"Hi Vicky." Rory said solemnly through the other line. "You won't believe it, mom— Lorelei." Rory corrected herself quickly. "Cut off the wedding with Max." Rory explained as Victoria snorted.

"I knew it, Lorelei can't stand commitment." Victoria said as she took a bite of apples/peanut butter. "Anything else new?" Victoria asked her sister, they had been getting along perfectly for a while now, and Victoria didn't want to ruin it.

"Yeah, after she broke it off with Max she took me to Harvard! Can you believe it, Harvard! I even got to seat in one of the classes; I contributed to the conversation and they had been arguing about for weeks! It was so cool, you should have seen it Vicky. It was like I was actually a student there." Rory was so excited, and if you would let her; Rory would have gone on and on for literal hours.

"Then we came back home after our spontaneous escape. Luke is taking in his nephew, Jess. Mom gave him the stereotypical 'I invented the, I hate my mom scheme talk. Then he stole my book, I mean, he borrowed it and gave it back. Did you know he writes notes in his books? It was almost cute... ugh I can't say that! It was weird, I mean. Dean never cares about the books I read but Jess listened to what I have to say about every single book I read." Rory talked fast as Victoria laughed.

"He sounds like an interesting guy." Victoria said as she finished up her snack, setting it down in the sink. "Things have the normal here, I got a job promotion at work. And I've been working on my classes, I'm almost done with my first year since I finished most of the work early. I'll be able to go straight into my second year of university at MIT." Victoria said as she wrote down a few things.

"That's so cool, congratulations." Rory said, and you could almost hear her smile through the phone. "Oh my god guess what happened!" Rory yelled.

"What!" Victoria yelled back, matching Rory's enthusiasm.

"Dad came by, he asked about you. He even stayed the night! Isn't that so cool! He says you guys haven't talked in months." Rory explained as Victoria nodded.

"Yeah, dad and I don't get along very much." Victoria didn't talk to Christopher very often, mostly because Lorelei painted their father in a bad light. Christopher never said anything terrible about Lorelei, which only showed how Lorelei was. "I should call him soon."

"Yeah, he misses you; you know." Rory said before she started talking about Jess again. "I wonder if he will present me to society." Rory asked as Victoria laughed.

"Present you to society, if this Jess guy is like you said he is; there's no way in hell he's going to present you to society. Besides; wouldn't you want... Dean, to do that?" Victoria asked as Rory snorted. "Rory, if you are attracted to another guy, it's not fair. Even if I don't like Dean that much, it's not fair to him for you to lead him on. If you want to break up with him, say that he's possessive and doesn't care about your hobbies. Because he doesn't, Rory. It's a good enough reason, and then you are free to like who ever you like." Victoria reasoned through the phone as Rory stayed quiet.

"You're right." Rory said as Victoria gave a hearty laughed through the phone. "Victoria this isn't funny!" Rory said with a laugh.

"I know I'm right. Rory, everything will work out the way you want it to, just give it some time. I promise." Victoria said as Tristan opened the door with his usual 'honey, I'm home!' "I have to go, Rory. I'll talk to you tomorrow, I promise." Victoria pledged, now it was Rory's turn to laugh.

"Alright, I'll talk to you tomorrow Vicky." Rory said with a smile as she hung up the phone, but not before the sisters exchanged 'I love you, bye'.

"Was that Rory?" Tristan asked as he wrapped his arms around Victoria's waist; kissing the side of her face lightly.

"Yeah, and I think you missed." Victoria said with a smile as they kissed before hugging. "We should go to Luke's tonight; for dinner."

"Sure, why not." Tristan kissed Victoria's cheek before taking her hand. They walked out the garage where Tristan's was, they patiently got in. Victoria watched as trees passed her by, and signs along the road glimmered in the moonlight that lit up from above. The road was clear due to the car's headlights being on and the exit to get to Stars Hollow was not far. Soon enough they saw a sign that red 'Welcome To Star Hollow'. They drove past Miss Patty's dance school, and through to Luke's Diner; where Tristan peaked in front. The pair walked inside and sat down (and since it was a Friday, guess who wasn't there. Lorelei!).

"Luke!" Victoria looked around for her father but he was no where to be found. "Dad!" Victoria saw a head peak around the corner, it was a boy, maybe seventeen. That must be Jess, Luke's nephew. Luke soon followed with a subtle smile on his face.

"Victoria, what could I get you?" Luke looked at Tristan and then at Victoria. "Let me guess, two hot cocoas, a burger, a turkey wrap and two fries?"

"Luke, you know us so well!" Victoria smiled as Jess looked at her, he could tell that they would be good friends.
