The movie that saved Walt

At the time, Walt Disney hadn't had a major hit since Snow White

He had successful films, but they weren't nearly as big as Snow White or as commercially popular as Song of the South

The studio was four million bucks in debt when Walt and his crew decided to go back to the traditional one-story movie.

But it was still a tall order as it costed three million dollars. So if this movie failed, it would have been the end of the Walt Disney studio.

But Walt and his animators wouldn't give up. They put in every last bit of hard work and faith they had.

And that really paid off because Cinderella was a massive hit, both critically and commercially.

It made so much money, Disney was now able to make more successful films and his own theme park in California!
