A/N: *says I was gonna speedrun through the chapters by posting two times a week*

*doesn't*

Okay I know y'all are probably wondering what happened and the truth is... erm... I forgor 💀

I literally could've just posted them without thinking too hard about it, but uh... I've actually been addicted to using character.ai since like. May. And that's been consuming my life so much I barely do anything else which is why it's been so hard to drag myself to posting chapters even though it literally doesn't take that long AHAHFSHFJDKF

It's fun though. I feel like I'm back into the groove of writing again hehe. Anyways enjoy the new chapter 🫢

Hitomi walked down the path, humming to herself as she fiddled with the pin in her hair that she'd made. Her lips turned up in a grin, only to feel herself bump into someone's back. She stepped back, rubbing her cheek to see ash blonde spiky hair.

How in the world...?

"Bakugou?" Hitomi said, laughing at how her luck could be. "What are you doing here...?" She trailed off, looking past him only to see other students milling about. "Where is everyone else? I thought you were with Kirishima and the other guys."

Bakugou stared at her for a few seconds, the two left in silence before he suddenly looked away, shoving his hands in his pockets.

"You should know by now the idiots have a tendency to run off and leave me looking for their dumbasses," he scoffed.

"Oooohh...." Hitomi trailed off as her eyes caught sight of a sign. She suddenly gasped as she read it, grabbing Bakugou's sleeve. "Have you seen Class C's ghost labyrinth already?!"

"No, why the fuck would I-"

"Let's go then!!" Hitomi exclaimed, dragging him inside.

She shoved the curtain open only to be greeted by darkness, the only light being a flashlight lighting a student's face ominously.

"Come on," she said, pumping her fist as she pulled Bakugou to the desk the student was sitting at.

"Welcome to Class C's ghost labyrinth," the student murmured, his voice low.

"Why the fuck am I here?!" Bakugou grumbled.

"To have fun, Bakugou. What, you scared?" Hitomi retorted.

She could barely see Bakugou's glare in the low light. "Like fuck I am!"

Hitomi smiled. Too easy, as always.

...

Hitomi yelped, her voice shrill as she hugged Bakugou at the sight of a bloody body popping out of the ceiling. Under her hold she felt Bakugou tense slightly, hiding her face against his arm.

At the sound of a low laugh, Hitomi's shoulders loosened as she seemed to recognize the voice. She opened one of her eyes, peeking out from Bakugou's sleeve to see a glimpse of purple hair. She let go of Bakugou abruptly when she realized how close they were, thankful it was too dark for anyone to really notice her blush.

"Sorry, Bakugou!" she laughed sheepishly. She turned away from him to see a familiar face hanging upside down. Hitomi stiffened slightly at the sight. "Oh... it is him. Shinsou!"

She patted her chest, trying to calm her rapid heartbeat from his scare. "That really freaked me out..."

"There's more to come," Shinsou said nonchalantly. It seemed like he was trying to put on a bit of a character, but his general vibe was like that anyway. "Prepare yourselves."

Hitomi laughed, scratching the back of her head. "Right..."

Right then she heard Bakugou grumble to himself, the ash blonde suddenly grabbing her arm as he pulled her along. "Get your ass moving, Moon Face. It's getting stuffy in here."

Hitomi nearly tripped following after him, waving to Shinsou. "Bye, Shinsou! Um, good luck scaring more people, I guess!"

He gave her a small nod and she turned her head back around as she trailed after Bakugou. They walked in silence as Hitomi stared at his back, feeling her heartbeat speeding up.

But it wasn't because she was scared.

It was because they were alone. And he was still holding onto her wrist.

As they turned a corner, someone with a demon mask suddenly jumped out at her, causing her to scream as she clutched Bakugou.

Okay... maybe she was a little scared.

She held onto him tightly as the person in the demon mask let out an evil laugh, slowly stepping back into the darkness. It felt like her heart was about to leap out of her chest and she sighing as she rested her head against Bakugou's chest.

Wait.

Hitomi yelped, jumping back as she held her arms up sheepishly. "Wagh, sorry Bakugou!! Again...!" She was scolding herself internally, thankful it was still too dark for him to really see how red her face was. "I really do have a habit of clinging to things, don't I..."

Bakugou didn't say anything and she was only barely able to see his face in the darkness. They stood in silence for a few moments before he finally brushed past her, scratching his head.

"Why the hell'd you even drag us here if you're gonna get scared at every little thing?" she heard him mumble. "Don't you hate this kind of stuff, anyway?"

Hitomi trailed after him, feeling her cheeks puff out. "Well, I already told you, I wanna see everything. Even if I am terrified, I wanna see everyone else's hard work too! Haunted houses are a staple of school festivals, aren't they?"

He just scoffed as she caught up to his side. "Nerd."

...

Hitomi stepped out into the sunlight, feeling jittery. She had a vacant expression on her face.

It'd taken them almost 10 minutes to get through Class C's ghost labyrinth. Every time she'd gotten scared, she hugged Bakugou, screaming as she clung to him like her life depended on it. It was embarrassing, but she couldn't help it, dang it! Horror had always terrified her, and having Bakugou there just reassured her, in a way. To her surprise, though, he didn't say anything about her clinginess like she would've expected.

You're alone with Bakugou, y'know, a small voice chimed in the back of her head. It's practically like a date.

Hitomi slapped her cheeks, shaking her head.

No, no!! Stay back you stupid feelings!! Don't make things out to be more than they actually are...!

At that she faltered, letting her hands drop to her sides.

But... it wouldn't hurt to spend the day alone with him, would it? Even if I could only be alone with him for a short while... it wouldn't hurt me to think of it that way, just a little.

After all, I already decided I'd enjoy the time I could spend around him.

Hitomi turned around, seeing Bakugou was muttering to himself as he ran a hand through his hair.

"Do you have anything you wanna do, Bakugou?"

The ash blonde shrugged. "Dunno."

Right then Hitomi's stomach grumbled, making her laugh sheepishly. Her gaze soon fell down to the hand Bakugou hadn't shoved into his pocket, the girl mulling it over.

Oh... what the heck.

On a whim, she grabbed it, pulling him with her.

"Let's go get a snack, then!!"

A/N: Eh I'm not a huge fan of this chapter tbh. I find it a little boring and cliche honestly. But oh well ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
