CHAPTER 7

"Are you avoiding me."Ranveer asked Jodha who got startled. She intentionally came home late thinking she would be late and avoid him. He was seated on the couch with a cup of coffee, legs crossed staring right at her soul.

" It's been two weeks lady, you intentionally ignore me, pretend I'm not around and run unnecessary errands. For two weeks knowing damn well i yearned for your look. Tell me the truth and I would never and ever raise the topic again, You don't want to know me right? "He asked.. Jodha was rooted. She still was confused with what she felt for him, it might be a crush or mere infatuation.

" I think it's not right. "She whispered licking her lips. Ranveer frowned.

" Tell me why it's not right. "he said waiting impatiently.

" The thing is you are way.. "she didn't finish her statement when Ranveer laughed a little.

" Don't lie on our age difference lady, not this one. You told me you like me and accepted my kiss and we promise to get to know each other before stepping into the next level only for you to avoid me like a, plague." He said, pissed at her actions.

"I'm sorry." she whispered, she was about to cry. Ranveer walked closer to her and cleaned her tears.

"Tell me, should i leave you alone, should let you be and should I stop disturbing you." he said in pained expression, jodha nods.

"Good! Goodnight then." he stared at her with pained expression before he left.

Tears started pouring from her eyes. She liked him but it's too afraid to be hurt. Her sister loved someone who later betrayed her, she vowed not to marry or commit herself to anyone at a young age, she wanted to have freedom for herself, she made a promise to herself and she's not going to break that promise even if it hurts.

She saw his lifestyle in the tabloid, he never dates the same girl, she's afraid of heartbreak. Jodha walked to her room and changed clothes. She laid beside khushi and hugged her to sleep.

Next Morning

Everyone sat to have breakfast. Aryan was chirping with Arya. She giggled at the faces he made. Only one seat was left beside Ranveer. Jodha tensed, Ranveer didn't look at her way and she sighed in relief.

"Di, Can you pass me the knife." Jodha said to Maya who nods. She gave it to Ranveer to give to her. He placed the knife down on the table without looking at her which was noticed by all. Jodha took the knife to continue with her business.

"Dada..." Arya called and Arnav smiled, he immediately picked her up and sat her down before feeding her. She smiled happily.

"She likes it when you feed her." Chandra said smiling. Everyone was having a heartful conversation but Ranveer was quiet which isn't him.

"Are you okay bhai?" Maya asked. Khushi was also worried.

"Mm." he nods. Arnav frowned.

"Don't give us that look, something is wrong spit it." Arnav said glaring at him.

"I was dumped by a girl." he dropped .

"What.." Everyone was surprised.

"Who has the gut to deny this ravishing brother in law of mine." Maya asked in disbelief.

"Spill." Chandra demands.

"I liked her and she likes me, as I confessed and asked her, she also did so. Then the next thing she blacklist me and avoided me as a plague." he said quietly.

"Don't worry uncle I would find you a girl who loves you. There's plenty fish in the ocean." Aryan said. The look Arnav gave him was enough to shut his mouth without saying anything. Khushi saw that and found it cute..
