SECOND CHANCE

CHAPTER 14

Next morning, 5am.

Arnav stirred in his sleep. He moaned before opening his eyes lazyly. Ranveer was on his stomach, sleeping cutely. He grinned and turned to sit up when he heard Ranveer's voice.

"Good to know you are awake, where are you going?" He asked his voice low and deep.

"My room." he said and Ranveer smiled. He was glad because he had recovered.

"okay." Ranveer nods in understanding, Arnav was about to pick Aryan. Ranveer kept quite, he can't question him why he's taking his nephew. Arnav gently picked Aryan up and walked out.

"Good." Ranveer laid back smiling.

Arnav 's Room

He placed Aryan on the bed and laid beside him. Closed his eyes and drifted back to sleep.

7am

Khushi woke up, freshened up and went down to prepare breakfast. Hariprikash assisted.

"Morning." Chandra said happily, Maya sulked.

"Why are you sulking?" Khushi asked Maya.

"Because I'm eager to eat your food." He said playfully.

"Oh I see." she laughed, Jodha walked in holding Arya in her arms.

"Mama." Arya called. Khushi smiled at her.

"Baby.." she took her on her laps.

"Good morning." Ranveer soon joined as they ate breakfast. They were all having a random conversation and Aryan came rushing with Arnav behind.

"Morning everyone, morning babe." Aryan kissed khushi's cheeks and pulled arya cheeks before rushing out.

"Aryan, breakfast?" Khushi called worriedly.

"I would ensure to eat at the school cafeteria." he grinned then run out.

"He overslept I think, he got test to write at 8am." Arnav said as he sat and khushi frowned but shut her mouth.

"He didn't learn yesterday. So you are worried?" Chandra raised a brow and Arnav nods. They all pretended like nothing happened.

"hmm." he nods. Arnav ate his food silently without joining any of their conversations.

"Our families would be arriving this weekend." Chandra said which made Jodha and khushi uncomfortable.

"Really, Finally the long waited." Jodha laughed nervously.

"Are you worried about them?" Ranveer asked his voice caring, Chandra smirked.

"Hmmm." she said and Ranveer sighed.

"Don't worry we are here for you all. If they try any funny businesses we would put them in their place so don't worry, our family is large. I can say expect a lot judgemental peoples and kind ones to. Don't ponder over it okay." he said calmy reassuring her. Jodha nods.

Chandra and Maya folded their hands as they grinned ear to ear. Arya had already moved to Arnav.

The whole day as Ranveer, Chandra and Maya keep explaining to the sisters on what to expect, Arnav and khushi were playing cat and mouse game.

No one talked to the other. Arnav was avoiding khushi's gaze. He knows she knows.

"We've decided to all stay at the farm house for 2days for you to be accustomed to it. It would help in your plan khushi." Chandra informed.

"I see." Khushi said as she licked her lips nervously.
