A few days later...
Anne's POV:

I wake up to the smell of Cooking, I sit up.

What is the Chef cooking? And why does it smell different from the breakfast we eat? Is she finally making something different??!

I get up and put on my slippers and head out of my room.

I walk down the stairs. Seriously why does this palace have so many stairs?

I get we're royals but why so much..it gives me a workout every single morning geez.

I bet this makes sure my dad doesn't skip leg day.

I get to the last step of the stairs and go to the kitchen, I enter where the chef usually cooks.

I open the door to a surprise.

"Mom?!" I yell surprised

She turns around with a smile on her face.

"Hey sweetheart, how did you sleep?" She says as she goes back to cooking.

I walk up to her. "Mom why are you cooking? Shouldn't the chef be the one cooking??"

"Yes but today is a special occasion, I thought I'd make the food today for our guest."

Guest?

"Who's coming over? Auntie? My cousins? Who mom who?!"

"That's a surprise, now why don't you get dressed he'll be here soon."

"Wait 'he'?!"

"Yes, now hurry!"

"Why do I have to get dressed so early??"

She turns her head and look at me confused.

"Early? Hun it's 12:30."

My eyes widen.

"12:30?! I thought it was like 9!.."

She looks at me again.

"Did you stay up late again?.."

I scoff.

"What-? No- Nuh uh mom- of course not-"

"Doesn't matter at least you woke up, now hurry and go get dressed!"

I sigh but I turn around and walk up the infinit stairs once again.

"And don't wear those large dresses! Juliana will go to your room and tell you what to wear!" She shouts from the kitchen.

Who is coming over? It must be someone I don't know. Is she setting me up?! No. Mom and dad wouldn't do that. So who is it?!

I reach my room and plop onto my bed and sigh.

Whoever it is..I just know he must be one of our townspeople. He must know who we are right? That were royals right? King and queen..and princess! Everybody here knows who we are.

Juli enters my room with a white sundress with puffy sleeves, and something on the dress that looks like decoration.

I stand up.

"This is what mother and father want me to wear?"

Juli looks at me and nods. "Yes, now put it on, I'm pretty sure you won't need my help. yes?"

I shake my head, it's a sundress. If it were a big poofy dress, then yea I'd need her help. But it's just a dress, I don't need her help.

"Alright then, your parents will be waiting for you, and by the time your finished he'll probably already be here by then." Says Juli as she smiles and leaves.

Ok I want to know- who is he?! I'm so curious it's eating me alive!

I go to my bathroom and put the dress on.

I curl my hair, and put on light makeup, I mean if it's a 'he' I gotta look pretty right? What if he's cute??

Plus I'm pretty sure mom and dad would want me all dolled up too. They always tell me I should dress up because it'll match my face, pretty I guess? I don't know.

I add the last touches to my makeup and look in the mirror satisfied. I nod my head before turning to the bathroom door and heading out of my room.

Of course. These steps always find a way to ruin my day. But it's alright..it's fine!

As I walk down I feel a bit nervous- I don't know why. Maybe it's because I don't know him? A complete stranger!

but he's probably just here to visit! He must've heard of me and my parents and was intrigued and wanted to meet us- yea! That's what everyone in the town does.

I reach the bottom of the stairs and take a deep breath.

'It's gonna be fine Anne. He'll just leave soon after.'

I walk to the living room. I see mom and dad sitting together- and a man.

He turns his head to me.

Dang he's cute..wait what am I saying he's a complete stranger!

He looks at me confused.

What?! Is it the way I look? Am I ugly? What is it tell me man!

"Anne! You finally came down, sit down honey,"

I nod at my dad and sit down on a chair next to them. Looking at the strange dude in our living room.

"Honey, we want to discuss something with you,"

My mom nods as my dad speaks.

"Ok?..what is it?.."

"Meet Lorenzo. Your new bodyguard."

...WHAT?! I THOUGHT THEY WERE KIDDING ABOUT THAT-

New bodyguard?! What?! Why?! When did they decide this?! Where is this man from?!

I need answers to these questions- now.
