Anne's POV:

I walk around the mall, and look for the store, did they change the mall?? Where the hell is this store?

I turn a corner and spot it! Ahah! So they did change the store's location, I hope it's the same inside. What am I even saying? Of course Its the same they just changed where it was, come on now Anne.

I just need some things for tonight. That's it, Lorenzo won't know, he's to busy acting all tough, I doubt he'll even notice me buying the things.

I walk into the store and go up to the cashier. "Hey Glenda! Do you have my stuff?"

She looks at me and nods. "Yes ma'am right this way."

I smile and follow her. "Wait- Glenda stay here just wait a sec."

I turn around and go to Lorenzo. "Hey, uhm my parents ordered me something, and the cashier is an old friend of theirs, so it's fine they trust her with everything. So just wait out here ok?"

"Are you sure? You're not lying right?.."

I nod. And he stands outside in that weird pose he always does. I turn around and go back to Glenda.

She smiles and continues walking.

Just need to get this thing and go home, hopefully.

We get to the back and she gets my stuff. She hands it to me. I smile and open it.

I feel as if little angles are playing trumpets- you know the ones in movies. These heels are amazing! I love them, perfect for tonight!

I close the box and look and Glenda. "Thank you glen, these are perfect, thank you!" I pull out a couple hundred dollars from my purse and hand it to her.

She looks at the money and pushes my hand back to me. "Oh no, it's fine keep it," I look at her and shake my head.

"No glen, you should take it, it's not much right now but I'll pay you the rest when I get more money, please just take this for now!"

She shakes her head. Glenda always does this, whenever I buy something from her, she refuses to let me actually pay it, I guess my mom and her are really good friends, cuz if it were me I would've taken the money so fast.

"Glenda, I will not leave this store until you take this. And I don't want to be here all day, so just take it."

She looks at me again. "Are you sure? It's not that big of a deal right? It won't affect you right?"

I nod. "Yes Glenda, it's not that big of a deal, so don't worry about it." She smiles at me and hesitantly takes the money.

"Thank you Anne, you're so kind." I smile and hug her.

"Alright, bye Glenda!" She waved goodbye and I grab a bag and put the shoe box in the bag and I turn around to wave goodbye to her before I go back to Lorenzo.

He looks at me and then at the bag. "What did you buy? Something girly?" I glare at him.

"Well they're heels. So I guess it's girly?" I say laughing a bit. But he doesn't. This makes me feel stupid- when you laugh but they don't laugh with you.

"So uhm I guess we could go home-"

"Could you show me around?.." I look at him surprised. He wants me to show him around?!

"Wait why? Have you never been to a mall or something?" He shakes his head.

"Are you being serious?? You're kidding right?!"

He looks at me blankly. "No Anne i am not kidding."

"Wow- uh ok. I guess I'll show you around!.." where should we go first? Wait-

"Uhm have you eaten?"

"Yes but only a coffee."

"Great! Then you must be hungry! Let's go to the food court!"

He opens his mouth but I grab his hand and run to the food court.

"Wait! Anne! Slow down your running too fast!"

"Too bad!" I shout as I smile,

We order our food and sit down at a table. I open mine and start eating.

"Slow down you'll choke." I look at him while chewing.

"This is my first meal of the day! I'm hungry. And you should eat too before I take it."

A smile tugs at his mouth and he starts to eat his food. "So have you never really been to a mall? Like at all??"

"No Anne I haven't, how many times do I have to say it. N.o."

I laugh. "What? What is it?" He asks.

"It's just- your voice is muffled cuz of the food! I find it funny! Haha!"

"You find anything funny, so stop laughing and you'll seriously choke."

I compose myself and continue eating. I take a sip of my drink. "So where else are we going? Like in the mall, where do you want to go?"

" I don't know..somewhere fun? I guess..?"

"..you know Lorenzo you don't have to be so professional and act so tough and cold around me, I won't tell my parents don't worry."

"..but it's my job, I have to act professionally."

I sigh. "You're acting as if you'll get fired if you act differently. My mom and dad aren't here, so just act..not so..just don't act like that- just be relaxed or something, "

"Alright so how do I act 'relaxed'?"

"Seriously Lorenzo?..just smile more! Talk more! Be more..happy??"

"Alright. But people just don't laugh or smile more for no reason."

"You won't be smiling for no reason."

"And how?"

"Because I'm here, that's something to smile about."

He laughs. "Anne, you're the last thing I'd smile about."

I don't know if I should be mad, or happy. He laughed!

"But you're laughing right now!"

"Yea ok ok." He says through laughs.

I finish my food and throw it away. He soon finishes his and does the same.

I grab his hand again. "Come on Lorenzo, there's a ton of places to explore here! Today we're gonna have fun!"

He looks at me before I tug him somewhere.

Today I'll make sure he smiles and becomes more happy, I'll make sure of it!
