'Archie Andrew liked your story.' Followed by another notification, 'Archie Andrew sent you three messages.' With a shaking hand, Zoyee opens the messages.
"Hi, can I know the name of the song that you have used in your ig story."
"I have searched a lot but can't find the name."
"It would be really helpful if you can at least give me the title of the song."
Zoyee keeps staring at the messages debating to herself whether she should reply or just ignore those texts. Due to the exam pressure and her messed up life, she almost forgot about this boy. Finally she decides to reply.
"Sure you can. Wait a minute."
"Can you give me the link of this song from YouTube, please 🥺?"
"Hmm, alright."
After a few seconds Zoyee sends the link.
"Thank you 🙏"
Zoyee wasn't in the mood to reply back with a welcome. So she shuts her mobile off and comes out of her room only to see Siri sitting on the dining table with a sad expression. Seeing Zoyee, her eyes lit up and she walked towards her. "My baby. I was so worried for you. You haven't come out of your room since you came back from college. I even knocked a few times but there was no response. I was literally cursing myself thinking you must be upset with me." Zoyee becomes guilty seeing her mom this worried. No matter what she is her mom who is working her ass off just so she can give Zoyee a comfortable life. Though Zoyee wanted to help her mom with a part-time job but Siri refused saying she should enjoy her college life and focus on her study only and Siri will manage the rest. "I'm sorry, mom. I just fell asleep. Maybe I was very tired due to the hectic schedule of my exams." "Hmm. Come and have dinner now. I have made steak and rice for you." Zoyee smiles a little and sits down. "Are you hiding something from me, dear?" "No. Why?" "I have been observing you for the past few days. You seem to be oddly quiet. You didn't even come out of your room for dinner. You also skipped your breakfast and didn't even wish me before going to the college. Have I done something or is there anything that's bothering you? You know that I am always here, right? So please don't keep it to yourself and feel free to share it with me, love." Now Zoyee starts to feel guilty. She realized that she has been hurting her mom without even realizing. No matter what happened in the past, Siri still loves both of her kids equally. She is fighting alone for herself and Zoyee. "Sorry, mom. I never wanted to hurt you. Please forgive me if I have hurt you unintentionally." "Oh no no, dear. It's fine. I'm not even mad at you. But remember I'll never judge you and you can come to me anytime." "Thank you, mom. Love you." "Love you too, honey."
