On the morning of the date, Zoyee woke up early, feeling a mix of excitement and nervousness. Her phone buzzed beside her and it was a text from Archie.

Good morning. Hope you slept well.
Be ready by 11, I'll pick you up 😉

She quickly replied,

Good morning. Okay I'll be ready.

She jumped out of bed and rushed to the shower. After drying her hair, she picked out something simple but cute to wear. A light-colored top and comfortable jeans. By the time she was done, she checked the time. It was almost 11. Her phone buzzed again.

I'm outside.
Archie texted

Zoyee's heart raced a little as she grabbed her bag and headed outside. As soon as she opened the door, she saw Archie leaning against his car waiting for her. When he spotted her he froze for a moment. "Wow... you look great," he said sounding a bit awestruck. Zoyee blushed, feeling her cheeks warm. "Thanks," she said shyly, "You don’t look too bad yourself." Archie grinned opening the car door for her. "Shall we?"

The drive to the beach was filled with light conversation. Zoyee felt comfortable and they laughed about little things from their week. As they arrived at the beach the sky was clear and the sound of the waves crashing against the shore made them feel at ease. Archie opened the trunk of his car and started pulling out all sorts of things—a blanket, a canvas, paints, glue, some snacks, even pizzas in boxes and a bouquet of white roses. Zoyee looked at him in surprise.

"You planned all of this?" Archie shrugged a little like it was no big deal. "I just thought we could have a little fun. Do something different." They set up on the beach spreading out the blanket and placing the food and drinks nearby. After settling down, the first thing Archie recommended was painting handprints on the canvas. Zoyee applied some glue and pressed her hands into the sand and placed them on the canvas. After she was done, Archie did the same beside her.

"This was such a cool idea," Zoyee said smiling as she looked at the canvas
