Thats a LOT of babies

It's that special kind of Sunday afternoon when my living room is filled with laughter, baby gurgles, and the delightful aroma of something simmering in the kitchen. This is a typical day in the Jackson household, and as I look around at my best friends—Calypso, Miranda, Katie, y/n, Alya, and Marinette—I can't help but feel grateful for this beautiful chaos.

Charlie, my eight-month-old son, is nestled in his swing, cooing at the colorful mobile above him. Piper's two-month-old daughter, Chandler, is the other centerpiece of our gathering, sleeping soundly in Miranda's arms. It's moments like this that remind me of how quickly life changes. I watch as each of my friends, in various stages of pregnancy, glows with the excitement and anticipation of motherhood.

"Alya, have you decided how you're going to tell Nino?" I ask, trying to hold back a smirk, knowing just how competitive they can be.

Alya, who is leaning against the couch with her hand resting protectively on her slightly rounded belly, grins-wide. "You mean besides during our brunch next week? I want to make it big. We have to outdo last week's announcement when he freaked out over Miranda's news and had to be calmed down by Connor!"

Miranda lets out a laugh, and I can't help but join in, picturing Nino's exaggerated reaction when he found out about Miranda and Connor's pregnancy earlier this year.

"Speaking of big announcements, y/n, are you going to spill the beans today or keep us guessing?" Calypso teases, nudging y/n, who sits cross-legged on the floor, cradling her baby bump.

Y/n bites her lip nervously but then looks around at all of us. "You know what? I think I'll join the ranks of the pregnant ladies here..."

The room goes silent, all eyes turning to her with wide smiles. This is the moment we've been waiting for, and I can feel the collective excitement building.

"I'm pregnant!" y/n declares, her smile lighting up her entire face. Joyful cheers erupt from all sides. The moment is met with hugs and squeals as we share in her happiness.

"Oh my gosh, we'll have to figure out play dates for all our little ones!" Katie exclaims, bouncing a bit on her heels.

"You better believe I'm planning all the themed birthday parties!" Alya adds.

As we continue to celebrate y/n's fantastic news, I glance towards the kitchen, where our husbands are currently in a hilarious debate over how to prepare dinner. Percy, Jason, and Leo are chopping vegetables while Connor and Travis attempt to figure out a salad recipe. And then, of course, there's the classic standoff between Luka and Adrien, who are glaring at each other as they work.

"How did they end up in charge of dinner?" I mutter to Calypso, who bursts into laughter. "I thought we had an agreement?"

"Right? And look how that turned out," she sighs between giggles, watching as Adrien defiantly throws a piece of onion over his shoulder, clearly marking his territory in this culinary battle.

My attention shifts to the boys again, and I see Nino leaning against the counter, keeping a baffled expression at the "kitchen catastrophe" unfolding in front of us. But seeing our husbands in action—trying so hard to cook and care for the babies while we chat—makes me appreciate them even more. Their willingness to take over household chores while we enjoy our girl time speaks volumes about the teamwork we've built as friends and partners.

As the afternoon wears on, the sounds of baby laughter mix with the banter of our husbands. My heart swells with love. I can't help but imagine what life will be like as we all continue to navigate our friendships, our new roles as mothers, and the dynamic of our growing families.

"Okay! Dinner is served!" Percy shouts, and we all cheer, knowing full well that it's likely to be a culinary masterpiece—or a unique version of chaos on plates.

Today has been another reminder that while we're embracing the next chapter of our lives, our bond as friends remains unbreakable. Together, we laugh, celebrate, and soak in the little moments, all the while building a vivid tapestry of memories with our children. Here's to more joyful chaos and countless adventures to come!
