It's been six and a half months since they took in the people of woodbury.

The group has been working hard to fix up the prison as best they can. They started farming. They have pigs and horses.

They've cleared out more cell blocks, making them cozy for the new arrivals.

Rick decided not to be in charge anymore. They formed a council. Hershel, Sasha, Glenn, Carol, Daryl, and Y/N are on it. They help make important group decisions.

Rick and Y/N wake up in one of the prison towers. She's lying on his bare chest.

"Morning." He mumbles, kissing her cheek as he stands, getting dressed.

She smiles, getting dressed herself.

Once he's done he walks over to her, placing his hands on her hips gently. "When can I convince you to put down the sword?"

She groans, pulling away. "We've talked about this a million times, Rick. I'm not a farmer. I'm supposed to be out there."

He sighs. "It's safe here. You don't have to go past the walls so much."

"Nowhere is safe. The governor is still out there somewhere!" She says, raising her voice slightly.

He steps closer, putting his hands on her shoulders this time. "You're right."

She nods. "I know I am. I can't sit around growing carrots. I have to be out there. Hell, me and Daryl just found Bob the other day on a run. It's important."

For the last few months of peace, Y/N and Daryl have been taking more and more runs together. She truly considers him her best friend, alongside Michonne.

They work well together and being confined into the prison daily is too much for her.

The three of them go out sometimes, in search of the governor, to put an end to the constant thought of him coming back.

In the process, they've welcomed several new members to their group. Their most recent being an ex army medic named Bob.

Y/N slides her sword into her holster, kissing Rick softly. "Maybe one day. Just not today."

Later that morning, Y/N sees Rick and Carl down by the pig pen.

After Carl ended the teen soldiers life while he was trying to surrender, Rick took away his gun.

Rick himself has stopped killing. He barely leaves the prison. He just spends all day tending to the garden and his animals. Hershel taught him the things he needed to know and Rick took a liking to it.

Y/N hums to herself, as she walks up to a food stand. People sit around in the shade, eating barbecue and chatting.

She walks up to Carol who is serving up food.

They talk for a moment before Daryl walks up. Several people say hello as he passes them.

Y/N raises an eyebrow at Carol and the two giggle slightly. "Just so you know, we liked you first."

Carol nods in agreement, handing a bowl to Daryl.

He rolls his eyes. "Stop." He says, using his fingers to eat the food from the bowl.

Carol's smile drops. "I need you two to see something." She turns to a young boy with glasses. "Patrick? Can you take over for me?"

"Yes, ma'am." He says with a smile.

Carol leads the two away from the others, towards the inner fence. "About today, I don't know if we're gonna be able to spare a lot of people for the run."

"The place is good to go. We're gonna make a move on it." Daryl says.

"Yeah. The thing is we had a pretty big buildup overnight. Dozens more towards tower three."

Y/N shakes her head. Upwards of 60 walkers are piled up along three separate parts of the fence. "It's getting as bad as last month. They aren't spreading out anymore."

"With more of us sitting here, we're drawing more of them out." Daryl says. "You get enough of those damn fence-clingers they start to herd up."

Carol nods. "They're pushing against the fences again. It's manageable, but unless we get ahead of it, not for long."

Y/N is helping Daryl load up the truck as Beth walks away from her boyfriend Zach after kissing him on the cheek.

"It's like a damn romance novel." Daryl mumbles.

Y/N smirks, nudging Daryl with her elbow. "Shut up. It's sweet."

After some discussion about the fence debacle, it was decided that Y/N, Daryl, Glenn, Sasha, Tyreese, Bob, and Zach would go on this run.

Before they left, Y/N stopped by to say a quick bye to Rick and Carl. They were out by the garden with Hershel.

Once back in the truck with Daryl, they run across Michonne who just got back with one of the horses. She was out looking for the governor.

She was unsuccessful.

She decides to tag along for the run, getting in the truck.

A couple miles down the road is a convenient store, named "Big Spot". Three days ago they scoped the place out, putting a boom box a while away from the parking lot, drawing the hoard of walkers away.

The group quickly sweep the area. They have plans on coming back the next day with more people to gather more.

Inside the store, is quiet. Y/N grabs some canned food and a box of protein bars.

All of a sudden there's a loud crashing sound. Bob screams. A large wooden shelf has called directly onto him.

Broken wine bottles scatter the floor.

They try to lift some of the shelves off of him, but even with several people, the shelves are incredibly heavy.

"I was moving fast. I drove right into the drinks." Bob tells Tyreese.

"Man, you lucked out. If this thing had come down on you the wrong way..."

He doesn't get to finish his sentence because there's another loud crashing sound from above.

The ceiling directly above Y/N collapses, and a walker falls, his body getting stuck on a metal rod, completely drenching her in blood and guts.

She wipes the blood away from her eyes, looking at the others who stare in shock. "We should probably go now."

Another walker falls through a different part of the ceiling. And another. And another. It's raining walkers in the building.

They look up and realize a crashed helicopter is above them, and the ceiling is giving way.

They have to get out, right now.
